McFly's fifth studio album is due to be released this November, following the singles 'Party Girl' and (yet-to-be-heard) 'Shine A Light'! I'm very excited for this! They've collaborated with Taio Cruz and Dallas Austin for this album - I can't WAIT for the Taio song(s)!! :D

OMG! :o That's great news, I'll definitely be there. :P

They confirmed on the Chris Moyles Show on Friday that it's called 'Above the Noise', hence the topic title. ;)

Yes i know i was saying im not sure if i like the title yet.

You have to pay £6.00 per month but you get exclusives such as hearing tracks weeks before radio play ect,Pick songs for Tours,Get first choice for Tour tickets and more

Rather disturbingly I'm contemplating downloading this.

Illegally, of course!

Same here!

Never thought the day would come I'd consider getting a mcfly album! :o

I've never really been a Mcfly fan, but I liked "Party Girl" , so I'll be giving the album a listen too

They took 2 years to tour other parts of the world and write the album.

They are giving the album away free again. http://www.digitalspy.co.uk/music/news/a27...y-for-free.html

from Digital spy

I haven really noticed their absence LOL I was always in course of their events thanks to Twitter. I once tried to analyse what they have been doing during the year 2009 and I got following:

* 1 DVD release, which was #1 for three weeks and spent in Top 40 DVD chart over 2 months I think, and which also beat Linkin Park and Madonna live shows by achiving VMA 2009),

* 48 live shows in 11 countries overall

* over 20 radio/tv appearances worldwide,

* 4 different record studios to work on the new stuff.

The fact that they have left British music scene for a year doesn't mean they was doing nothing at all. That year was pretty eventfull

As for giving their new album away for free again - I don't know how to react, I'm not as excited as I was back in 2008, because I'll get the songs from the Super Site anyway but I think it would be a good opportunity to gain even more different audience. Hopefully they will release a deluxe edition afterall. Old habbits die hard and I wanna have a hard copy of their work :))

All Mcfly fans that have signed to the new Super City(Super website) which opens tommorow at 10:01 am

and pay the £6.00 fee will get the Album free on 1st November (one of many free exclusives)

with the CD coming 15th November in all music shops and www.mcfly.com

Do you reckon downloads from the Super City will count toward the chart? Otherwise they can kiss goodbye to their Top 10 Hits...

I don't see why they wouldn't be counted, physical copies bought on official sites count.

Really excited about the album after hearing 'The End of the World'. Party Girl/ Shine A Light/ The End of the World are all quite different from each other but I like variety.

Yes they will count BUT the download of the album won't because it's FREE.

I actually don't think Mcfly care about top 10's anymore and are finding more ways of making money

Like the New Website which started yesterday and 50,000+ people logged in at once and caused it to crash

Every single/album released wil be onsale on their new website aswell as shops.

New single 'shine a light' is given away free as a download days before official release

Because of their new website costs £6.00 a month/£40.00 ayear they will be giving everyone exclusives everyweek

Hey have you heard it off the SuperCity? I narrowly failed to subscribe, the traffic was awful, haven't even had the chance to surf through the site as it's been closed :( I hope they solve it soon.

Can't wait to hear the album, but no matter that SC gives it for free, I'm buying a hard copy too!

Yep, it could be downloaded off the site. I could hardly make my way around it though! Only managed to download through a link to the redirect destination.

I'll be buying a hard copy too!
