Westlife (100-90) http://i170.photobucket.com/albums/u261/Alex_Feehily12/Westlife20-20Offical20Use20Pic20Cro.jpg Total Points 34points KK- Aled, Shakillover, Kieran Total Points - 25points Favourite Songs - Seasons In The Sun. Multimillion selling band Westlife finish so low on this countdown racking up less than 30points due to 3 karate kicks. Originated from Ireland and are the biggest selling band in the United Kingdom. Westlife have racked up eight number one albums inclduing 14number one singles. Westlife in my opinion have finished low and should have been in the top twenty, there behind many artists who should be way below them. Anyway.. i was shocked at this result. The band has gone through several phases, but its strongest commercial success came in the late 1970s until its initial disbandment in 1987. During this period, they had hits with a series of power ballads and rock songs including 1981's "Don't Stop Believin'", which would later become the top-selling catalog track in iTunes history, at more than three million downloads, and their highest-charting US hit, 1982's "Open Arms", which would later become an international hit for Mariah Carey. Scouting For girls have notched up a number 1 hit with this aint a love song and a number one album. I Really dislike this band however really like there song James Bond, I prefer there unrealeased music. It still shocks me on how Famous managed to chart as it's one of the worst songs i have heard in a very, very long time. Anyway Congrats if you voted for Scouting For Girls. I understand it's not that hated. Tbh if it wasn't for the KK Jedward would have finished ahead of them.. that's saying something if you ask me.
September 13, 201014 yr Journey aside (who do have a few decent enough records, their version of Dont Stop Believing has actually grown on me recently), well done BJ so far, four awful groups.
September 13, 201014 yr Author The Last Result of today guys, but i promise more tommorow... tbh i wouldn't say these results have started off that predictable... use obviously disagree 95 - Radiohead http://i419.photobucket.com/albums/pp278/joros7/Artistas3/radiohead.jpg Total Points = 30points Favourite Song = Creep Radiohead are an English rock band from Abingdon, Oxfordshire, formed in 1985. The band consists of Thom Yorke (vocals, guitar, piano, beats), Jonny Greenwood (guitars, keyboards, other instruments), Ed O'Brien (guitars, backing vocals), Colin Greenwood (bass, synthesizers) and Phil Selway (drums, percussion). Radiohead released their first single, "Creep", in 1992. The song was initially unsuccessful, but it became a worldwide hit several months after the release of their debut album, Pablo Honey (1993). Radiohead's popularity rose in the United Kingdom with the release of their second album, The Bends (1995). Radiohead's third album, OK Computer (1997), propelled them to greater international fame. Featuring an expansive sound and themes of modern alienation, OK Computer has often been acclaimed as a landmark record of the 1990s.
September 13, 201014 yr I actually like Jedward, Vengaboys and SFG :kink: The rest are all rubbish though. I'd say Buzzjack has done very well so far actually! :o
September 13, 201014 yr Author The Next 2/5 are criminal if you ask me, i'm tempted to post them up :(
September 13, 201014 yr Radiohead are legends- no way do they deserve to be that low, BJ's first cock-up of this countdown other than that, a decent start- Jedward, Vengaboyz and Westlife all shouldnt be here anyway, but at least their at the bottom Journey a decent peak- they only have one truly memorable song I like SFG but they also shouldnt really have made it- so a decent peak
