Can anyone actually believe it's been eight long years since Shania has released a studio album. Of course, there was that Greatest Hits compilation and a few singles taken from it to bridge the gap... but it's not the same is it?

 

There was also her appearance as a guest judge and later a mentor on American Idol this year, her name has even been brought up during recent rumours of the replacement panel for the next season of AI..

 

Shania has signed up to take part in her own reality show entitled "Why Not with Shania Twain" which will be aired on the Oprah Winfrey Network (launching in January). The show will document Shania's return to the world of recording as she puts together her fifth studio album.

 

A lot has changed in the past eight years, especially for Shania, she is now divorced from her co-writer and producer Mutt Lange, so I'm expecting a completely different album from Shania this time around!

 

Is anyone as excited as I am? She's one of the best things to come out of music in the past twenty years if you ask me!

 

PS. Isn't she looking smoking these days? Doesn't look 45 at all!

I can see a new single/album happening in Spring 2011 to coincide with the TV show. Would be the most logical decision.

Hopefully the album will be like Come On Over and Up!, with plenty of tracks.

Yeah a lot is going on with her in Spring 2011, she'll also release her autobiography, I'm so excited!!!!!

Yeah actually her music is so different and we really need it back, I was watching Ka-Ching a couple of days ago and wowwww I really want her back. :)
