Posted September 15, 201014 yr We feel like it’s still too soon to talk about this but Roddy Bottum has spoken out further on Faith No More’s decision to disband for a second time. While there are whispers that the band are to film their final show together on December 5th in Santiago, Chile for a DVD release, FNM keyboardist Roddy Bottum has revealed: “In my opinion recording an album was a great idea. The balance was good because we know each other well. But things were complicated — it was very strange to return after a decade. “When we decided to get together, it was to reconnect and relive something we had in common. It was very important to us — but doing these shows was the only thing we were going to do. “The craziest thing was when we met for the first time, all in a room after not seeing each other for so long. “When we started, I thought we would only see older people at the shows, but it was mostly young people and that was very surprising. “We’ve visited many wonderful places and it’s all been good.” On the band’s legacy, Bottum remains humble by saying: “We’re a very humble band — we know who we are and we just do what we do. People sometimes say we’ve been a big influence, which we appreciate very much — we feel very honored. “I’ve never heard Incubus, Korn or Limp Bizkit. People tell me Arcade Fire sounds like Faith No More, but I’ve never heard them either.” http://www.metalhammer.co.uk/news/roddy-bo...-faith-no-more/ would be a shame, i saw them last year and they were fantastic.
