9. Goodbye - Avg. 7.118 (10 - Lukuzz, Casey__, 1 - Severin)

A sharp rise in the average now, as we start to get into the 'better' rated singles. This is another song I regret giving a lowish score to, listening to it now, but I can see how people can dislike it. It continues, with the exception of Mama, the pattern of the latest singles doing worst. Will it continue with the next latest single, Viva Forever?

Some of you'll be happy...

8. Wannabe - Avg. 7.412 (10 - Nick F1, Chriss_S, 152.chris, 1 - Severin)

Ironically compared to overall theme before, it's the first Spice Girls single now. One of their more famous songs, I'm a bit surprised it's not higher, but it was always around this position in the voting, so...

I'm not surprised about "Wannabe" finishing here. I perhaps expected it to be above "Who Do You Think You Are", but I also expected it below "Goodbye", so this is where I would have probably predicted it. It's definitely one that only remains brilliant for nostalgia value and how significant it was for them. Even though it's far from their best, it's what made them what they are.

A bit disappointed, but not surprised at the bottom three. I'm one of the few people that LOVE "Headlines". :( The "Forever" album is also really underrated, but I think that's because it was definitely more R&B orientated than their other two albums. It still sounds like the Spice Girls to me (and I love about 8 tracks on it) but I can see how you could be a Spice Girls fan and not like "Forever".

Agreed with everything you just said.

I love 'Tell Me Why' and 'Get Down With Me'.

I really hoped LLLTW, chart higher, actually that song is really great and was actually one of the song I really loved by them :D

7. Too Much - Avg. 7.588 (less 9s) (11 - AaronTM, 4 - Severin)

Our first (and only) tie appears now, as we start the second half of the rate, and near the top 5. One of my favourites, I'm a bit upset that it didn't get higher, but as I like pretty much all of the other songs, it doesn't really matter.

Another brilliant song, but I prefer Viva Forever, Goodbye and LLLTW out of the ballad singles.
too much! amazing.. another one of theirs that gives me nostalgia the most. one of my favourite videos by them too.

"Get Down With Me" wasn't one of the eight tracks I was thinking of but, actually, I really like that one too. My favourties are "Tell Me Why", "Right Back At Ya" and "Wasting My Time".

Gutted to see "Too Much" this low, I'm always switching back and forth between it and "Viva Forever" for the best Spice Girl song. They were all about the energy, but I think those two ballads are easily their best.

Oops, forgot last night, lol. I'll do two tonight then, the other'll come in an hour or so.

6. Spice Up Your Life - Avg. 7.588 (more 9s) (11 - Chriss_S, 3 - Severin)

Narrowly missing out on the top 5, and as with Too Much, I'm upset it isn't top 5, but as I like 4 of the 5 in the top 5, it's not that bad.

Which means that, in release date order, the top 5 is:

Say You'll Be There

2 Become 1

Who Do You Think You Are

Stop

Viva Forever

I'm really surprised "Who Do You Think You Are" is still in this. I think it's one of their weakest singles, easily in the bottom 5! Disappointed to see "Spice Up Your Life" miss out on the top 5, but I definitely prefer three of the actual top 5. It was a good lead single and, for that reason, is probably their second most iconic song. Not their best, but sums up what they were.

5. Stop - Avg. 7.824 (11 - C.R., -1 - Dré)

Starting off the top 5 is Stop, my personal favourite of all their songs, so I'm a little bit miffed that it's a bit low, seeing as it was a lot higher up until the final vote, but there's still 3 songs here I like.

stop should have been in the top 2 definitely! say you'll be there for number 1, and definitely not viva forever
