Scott is a former Pontins Bluecoat from Manchester. In the first live show Bruton received harsh criticism for his performance of "Yeh Yeh". His mentor Simon Cowell accepted responsibility for the bad song choice. In week 3 he sang "That's Life" by Frank Sinatra but was eliminated after a bottom-two showdown against Daniel Evans. After the show he played the role of Bobby in Dreamboats and Petticoats.

Chart History:

2006 It's Chico Time UK: 1 Ireland: 3

2006 D.I.S.C.O UK: 24 Ireland: 39

2007 Curvy Cola Bottle Body Baby UK: 45

Chico's initial X Factor audition was notable because judge Simon Cowell walked out in disgust after fellow judges Louis Walsh and Sharon Osbourne voted him through to the second round. During the live shows he was widely mocked by the press, but soon began to win over viewers as he changed the style of his performances, so they became more self-mocking. He also became the first contestant on a Simon Cowell show to sing an original song. Chico eventually finished 5th in the 3rd series of X Factor and went on to receive chart success with hits such as "It's Chico Time", which knocked Madonna off the top spot and spent 2 weeks at number 1.

Cassie auditioned for the first series of X Factor in 2004 and was eliminated in Week 5. Since X Factor she has tried her hand at acting, starring in a touring production of Little Women and appearing in BBC1’s Casualty New Year special. She also sang in West End shows Les Miserables and Dirty Dancing.

Emily, aged 15 at the time of the show was the youngest of the Series 4 finalists. However, two weeks into the live shows, press reports emerged with video footage of Nakanda apparently attacking another teenage girl in a "happy slapping" attack. On 2 November, ITV announced that Nakanda had withdrawn from The X Factor due to the media attention the videos had brought, after apparently being told by Cowell that she would be forced out if she did not leave of her own accord.

43. Chico Slimani

Fairly decent set of results to date, Beverley was one of the better ones from a fairly awful series, the Unconventionals I think were actually my initial favourites, quite liked Chenai, Ashley and Cassie but Girlband were a bit awful really werent they. Emily as a singer wasnt very good, the gimic with Daiel just didnt really work or at least outlived what it should have done by a good few weeks. Chico, well I hated him at the time but he did sort of make Series 2 I suppose.

Kimberley was a contestant in the 4th season of X Factor and auditioned when she was just 19 years old. She was the first contestant to be eliminated from the live shows in Week 1 on 20th October. Since then she has had a small role in a Season 6 episode of Shameless.

46. Beverley Trotman - Really liked her

45. The Unconventionals - they were wuite good

44. Scott Bruton - average

43. Chico Slimani - funny for about a week

42. Cassie Compton - she was a brilliant singer

41. Emily Nakanda - I just remember her getting booted off for being a thug

40. Kimberley Southwick - Oh I remember her, she was really good actually!

=50. Daniel Evans - Dreadful karaoke.

=50. Ashley McKenzie - Yuck. Didn't like him and didn't like his voice. Plus he looked absolutely ridiculous every week but that's another story.

=48. Girlband - Yawn. Typical X Factor girlband. Highly uninteresting.

=48. Chenai Zinyuku - I liked her as a person but her voice was not so good. She was very likable though. Did well to go as far as she did.

46. Beverley Trotman - Would have expected higher. She was decent but I didn't vote for her as she didn't really inspire anything in me except "oh, quite a nice voice" - and tbf it wasn't that incredible anyway (though being part of such an awful series made her seem better than she is). Seemed like a nice lady though!

45. The Unconventionals - I liked them in the audition/boot camp, but their first performance was indeed car crash television.

44. Scott Bruton - Don't even remember him except that dreadful Yeh Yeh performance.

43. Chico Slimani - Yuck again. It used to make me cringe the way he kept showing his greasy body =/

42. Cassie Compton - Barely even remember her except I have a vague memory of her singing "Without You" once? Though to be fair that song has been sung so much I'm probably thinking of someone else.

41. Emily Nakanda - Can't say I cared when she got chucked out. She regularly sung completely flat. I recall her "I'm Not A Girl Not Yet A Woman" performance being especially awful.

40. Kimberley Southwick - She wasn't bad enough to deserve getting booted first (especially when there were far worse that series) but her performance ("It's Raining Men", right?) was a bit karaoke if I recall.

Kandy Rain are a four piece girl group comprising Azi Jegbefume, Coco Lloyd, Khatereh Dovani and Chemmane Applewhite. They were criticised by Cole and Minogue due to the fact they were wearing provocative performance suits. They were the first contestants to be voted off, having performed in the bottom two with Rachel Adedeji. The band told BBC Radio 1's Newsbeat that they had vowed to stay together despite their early X Factor exit. In 2010, the group appeared on series 3, episode 9 of Snog Marry Avoid?.

4Tune were dire

Kandy Rain were unlucky, not the worst group there has been by any means and I thought their version of Addicted To Love was pretty good, the whole thing about their costumes was a lot of fuss about nothing
