10 of you voted for your favourite Delta singles out of the 21 that were released either in the UK, Australia or Japan somewhere along the line. And I can now reveal the results!!! Starting at the back with your least favourite.

21. Mistakes (with Brian McFadden) – 4.72 – biggest fan – Silas

So...Delta's current single, or rather one she is featuring on, once again by her long term partner Brian McFadden. Mistakes is a lot more electro than anything she's done in the past, although fits in with his (awful) Wall Of Soundz album. This is the highlight on there, thanks mainly to Delta's presence - and credit where it's due, the video is fantastic. It's yet to chart in Australia and is likely to see a release elsewhere.

20. Happy Xmas (War Is Over) – 6.22 – biggest fan - gooddelta

Like many others, Delta covered the John and Yoko xmas classic in 2003 and it duly went to the top of the Australian singles chart, as a double a-side with Predictable. The song received a release in the UK in November of the same year as the b-side to Not Me, Not I. This instantly struck a chord with me and soundtracked many a journey to college on a dark cold morning in December 2003 for me. One of the few xmas songs I can listen to and enjoy at any time of the year but few would agree and it finishes second to last here!

19. I Don't Care 6.94 – biggest fans – Flatcap and Silas

2001, pre super stardom, Delta was merely another flopstar trying to make waves with a catchy but fairly throwaway pop song. It reached #64 in Australia and didn't see the light of day anywhere else, but was very in keeping with the pop sounds at the time - as Silver Rocket said, very Billie Piper. Delta has been known to perform it on tours however and has far from disowned the song, even though it doesn't feature on any studio album. The video does however feature on the Delta DVD released in the UK in 2003.

18. A Little Too Late – 7.25 – biggest fan – Liam Gleek.

The fourth single from Mistaken Identity, and another bizarre choice. Seen by many as one of the album's weaker points, it however had the breezy tendencies of some of the Innocent Eyes songs such as Throw It Away, and was obviously far less dramatic and perhaps radio friendly than most of the rest of the album. Either way, it didn't click much with the public and became her first single since I Don't Care to miss the Australian top ten, peaking at #13. It didn't see the light of day anywhere else.

17. A Year Ago Today 7.3 – biggest fan - gooddelta

Presumably planned as a single in 2001/2002? A Year Ago Today did make it onto the Innocent Eyes album, although in a much different version to the one posted above. The 'single mix' had much more poppy production and sounded like something Atomic Kitten might have released around the same time. Delta's voice sounded very different indeed as well, it certainly developed in the two years between 2001 and 2003! This version isn't available anywhere to my knowledge but again, the video features on the Delta DVD. The 2003 version is actually one of my favourite songs on the album and finished 3rd in my 2003 end of year personal chart[/nobodycares]!.

16. Throw It Away - 7.5 – biggest fan - gooddelta

Ironically titled, this was seen by many as one of the most throwaway tracks on the Innocent Eyes album. It was supposed to be the fifth single in the UK, and I believe promo CD's were made and are still available somewhere, but was cancelled at the last minute. It eventually surfaced as a digital download on the MyCokeMusic website, with a radio edit by True North (which is a production/writing duo that featured Gary Barlow no less, who also co-wrote many songs on the Innocent Eyes album!), so it probably sold in the region of 5 copies.

I love "A Year Ago Today" the video version was my favorite..

...let's get some discussion going on in here!

15. Almost Here (with Brian McFadden) – 7.65 – biggest fans – The Viper and Parker

The second single from Mistaken Identity in the UK, third in Australia - and the third from Brian's album Irish Son, Delta and Brian's first duet was Almost Here. A simple ballad with the verses sung by Brian and the chorus sung by Delta, it was charming with it (in my opinion) and I was championing it when it looked as if it could give Delta her first #1 when it was #2 in the opening midweeks behind the Elvis re-issue (that tended to drop anyway). Eventually though, Eminem overtook both songs and Delta and Brian ended up at #3. Asda FM still plays this song a lot, but they're probably the only place that do in the UK! It got to #1 in Australia though!

14. Be Strong – 7.67 – biggest fan - gooddelta

Planned as a single from Mistaken Identity, it only received a digital release in the end, in Australia. I vividly remember watching the above 'Des & Mel' performance on a day off from college and it raised the song hugely in my estimations. One of my personal favourites from the Mistaken Identity album, really uplifiting.

13. Flawed – 7.81 – biggest fan - gooddelta

Released in 2006 as part of her Japanese compilation, confusingly titled Innocent Eyes but comprising tracks from the original Innocent Eyes and Mistaken Identity, as well as two new songs (the other being Never Fades Away), Flawed was a soaring ballad. It went to #1 in the Japanese download chart but sadly never saw a release outside of this territory. I imported the album though, naturally, so do own it! It's better known than I'd thought though and this is a respectable placing for it.

12. You Will Only Break My Heart – 7.94 – biggest fan - Silas

Probably her most 'fun' single, the bouncy You Will Only Break My Heart was the third single from the Delta album in Australia. It wasn't that big a success and peaked at #14 in Australia.

11. Out Of The Blue – 8.25 – biggest fans – gooddelta and The Viper

I had to post the above arrangement as it's utterly gorgeous and had it been the original, it would have been a perfect album track. This was the key issue with Out Of The Blue - a lovely song, which I do still adore, but as the 'post cancer' lead single, it really didn't say anything about the album and was like no other song on it. There were 5 or 6 songs that would have made more appropriate and radio friendly lead singles - she was at a stage where she could have got anything playlisted, following an 800,000 selling debut #2 album and three top ten singles. She was lucky to take this as high as #9 in the UK, although it did go all the way to #1 in Australia. This song being picked as the lead single arguably played a huge part in the massive flop of its parent album in the UK though :( The singles picked from that era REALLY don't reflect the quality of the album at all, it's like somebody went through and picked all of the weakest songs to release from it.

10. I Can't Break It To My Heart - 8.44 – biggest fan - Neil

The first surprise of the countdown for me, I'm surprised this made the top ten! The fourth single from the Delta album, it could only reach #13 in Australia before falling quickly. It's a nice enough song for me but was one of the reasons that I didn't like the Delta album as much as the other two. Nice isn't good enough, maybe on a Lucie Silvas album it would be a highlight but I felt that Delta was capable of so much better. Certainly more 'classic Delta' than most of the rest of the album but compared to something like Not Me, Not I, I just found it a bit bland.

9. Predictable – 8.56 – biggest fan - Neil

The fifth single from Innocent Eyes in Australia, as a double a-side with Happy Xmas (War Is Over), the angsty Predictable was yet another #1 single there and actually managed to finish inside the top 40 selling singles of the 00's there!!! This was always one of my favourites of the album and I was gutted that it was overlooked for a UK release, I even heard it played in McDonalds here once  Certainly picking Throw It Away over this (which it looked like they were doing) would have been a terrible move. The song does seem a bit slow to me now though, having heard Predictable mashed up with Sweet Dreams by the Eurythmics on her latest tour DVD/CD.

8. Together We Are One – 8.61 – biggest fans – gooddelta, Flatcap and Silas

Written with Guy Chambers for the Commonwealth Games in 2006, Together We Are One is an incredibly anthemic song fit for the occasion. It's influence spread quite a way, even being performed by the finalists on American Idol on one of the live shows there!!! Rather than worrying about trying to crack everywhere with the now ancient Born To Try, perhaps this would have been a better song to crack the world market with? A truly uplifting, positive song that shows off everything that Delta does best. It peaked at #2 in Australia and you feel it could have been a hit in many countries (particularly Europe), had it been released elsewhere.

7. Mistaken Identity – 8.7 – biggest fans – gooddelta, Liam Gleek., Parker and Silas

Two minutes after I walked out of Woolworths having bought the Mistaken Identity album, I gave it a spin on my Discman walking to the station, and this was the first new song I was greeted with. I still remember my initial reaction to it - blown away. A dramatic masterpiece that really gave you an indication of how she felt about her ordeal in the previous 18 months. Dark yet also catchy and just a brilliant piece of music. Sadly it never received a UK release, maybe because of it's (lack of) Australian success - it became her first single to miss #1 there, and in fact only managed a #7 peak. I can understand most of her flop singles there, but seriously? Sandwiched in between #1's for Out Of The Blue and Almost Here, how on earth did this only get to #7? Maybe it would have been a different story had it been the lead single?

6. Born To Try – 9.0 – biggest fan – The Controller

And so onto her breakthrough single. With heavy cross media promotion in (the then still popular) Neighbours, it was always bound to be a smash hit. It was a #1 in Australia and even managed to break into the top 3 in the UK on release. I had little interest in Neighbours but started watching it circa February 2003, purely because I'd heard about this girl. Absolutely glorious debut single, which has long been rumoured to be an X Factor winner's 'winning single' but which has never yet materialised. One of the finest pop ballads of the 00's in my opinion. The key change, and that huge note introducing it are fantastic! It misses your top five though, somewhat surprisingly :o

So...I'll do the top five later on, here they are in alphabetical order;

Believe Again

In This Life

Innocent Eyes

Lost Without You

Not Me, Not I

Any guesses on the winner or order?

Aww I didn't vote in this!

I'd have Innocent Eyes or Not Me, Not I win personally.
