I HEARD recently that Shayne Ward's new single Stand By Me was originally penned for Irish boyband Westlife.

 

 

 

An insider at the record company also told me: "Bosses here thought that they could make more money out of the song if Shayne sang it.

 

 

 

"That's Why Westlife have been relatively quiet recently - because they don't want to saturate the market with the same type of stuff.

 

 

 

"Before long we will start to see a bit of a tag-team thing going on where Westlife and Shayne will take turns in the charts and touring."

 

Oh no! :puke2: They are actually turning Shayne Ward into Westlife on purpose! :puke2:

We might say yes. But I knew it from the start that he had no future. He is not original. At least Westlife write some songs every year for some songs on their albums and b-sides. And at least Westlife are hotter than hime with his stupid hair. Shane Filan and Mark Feehilly have also by far better voice than shayne.

Well when you give somebody an album of songs that Westlife rejected (and that is - all jokes aside - what his album is) it's never going to work.

Shayne could have a future in music if he takes control now and fights his executives to have some independance and record something different with a bit of edge, this is the only way he can let go of this era and start a fresh. But it won't happen.

I have said it all along, as long as he has that vile t*** Louis as his manager he will ammount to nothing.

 

But i somehow don't think he will dissapear. Simon Cowell has seen what the likes of Will Young have done. His first album was in my opinion worse singles wise than Shayne. Was'nt his first 3 or 4 singles all covers? That was worse but then he started writing himself by the time his second album was released so i don't see why everyone is so shocked at the tripe Shayne is releasing cause it is only his first album. -_-

 

I think Simon has a great mind and i do think Shayne could be the Briitsh Timberlake is he sorts his managment out. <_<

Sorry I disagree Scotty. Shayne hasn't the determination, personality & stubborness of Will but is happy to be led wherever Louis & Simon lead. This is why Simon so wanted both Shayne & Gareth to win their respective competitions as it was so clear to see right from the outset that Will wasn't going to dance to their tune. Luckily Simon Fuller believed in Will & his association with Cowell was shortlived. Can you really see Cowell & co giving Shayne the time to go away & find his own sound when all they are interested in is making a quick buck then moving onto the next batch of wannabes.

But even on Will Young's first album there were only 3 covers (if you include Evergreen), and he did co-write 5. He also had some great writers on that album i.e. Burt Bacharach. Guy Chambers etc albeit not to everyone's taste.

You raise me up came with the album going no.1 the same week with the album. then after the album they released off the album the duet with d.ross going to no.2 and then they released amazing going to no.4.

btw Westlife from their first album they had 5 no.1's

the public are starting to see through louis and simon and their manufactured rubbish and its happening faster, they don't really care about their acts its all about following a formula to create a product to target teenage girls and bored housewives, its so blatant is all about the money for them and shayne at 14 is a bloody nose for them....more to come
