Unfortunately it will get cancelled, although it's better than Flash Forward and i'm really enjoying it.

 

The problem is, there's a huge hole in the market now LOST has gone, aswell as 24 and Heroes. The Event is going to be the first of many shows that will try and take away LOST's audience, but the basic story needs to be something special, and not confusing. The Event's storytelling sequence is difficult to follow it must be said.

Been picked up for a full season (of 22? episodes) by NBC.

For some reason I like this, I've watched the first two episodes on CH4, it looks pretty interesting, and easy to follow. So... I'm sticking to it to see how it unfolds. I need to get into something on Fridays till The Walking Dead starts.

Thought it had a similar style to 'Lost'.

 

When the plane disappeared it was very bizarre as up until that point it seemed like a normal drama abiding by laws of nature.

Also, the flashbacks were confusing and unnecessary at times - plus the fact people just stood as a plane was hurtling towards them was really annoying.

Suggestion: Run.

 

This new sci-fi element is intriguing though.

NBC have been having truly horrific ratings the last few years, although saying that - they have kept 30 Rock going all this time. Lovelovelove.

Watched this on C4 on Friday.... the Pilot was wonderful, the second episode not so much. I may give it another watch to see if it improves but I can't say I'm expecting it too.

They'll only keep it on though because of all the new shows it is doing the best. Also the fact that it has higher viewers than the lead-in and the lead-out.

I think it's alright actually.. Watched four episodes now, and it's beginning to make some kind of sense. I dont see how it can be compared to Lost tbh, just seems like a lazy comparison, seems like it should be compared more with the likes of Fringe or Flashforward (which was a seriously under-rated show IMO), and the whole "aliens infitrating our society" deal is lifted straight out of classic sci-fi series "The Invaders", still, if you're gonna borrow ideas, might as well do it from the best....

All that going back and forth in time in the pilot worried me as I thought I wouldn't be able to follow. But I could and what an entertaining episode and I look forward to the series :)

The series is actually fast paced, and keeps the story from lacking, but at the end of episode 3, it was predictable, I just knew all the dead come back to life.

I will be royally annoyed if it gets cancelled. Starting to think the alien plot is a red herring now though...
