Jessica Mauboy (aka easily the best Aussie Idol alumni ever) is set to release her 2nd album Get 'Em Girls - release date TBA. In the meantime, here's her new single Get 'Em Girls, a collaboration with Snoop Dogg. It's sure no Burn, Running Back or Let Me Be Me but it's a grower:

Her album will also feature collaborations with Jay Sean and Ludacris.

Her last album was actually pretty good really, a lot of amazing songs on it. After a few listens of this, i'm not too sure. Agree with Liam above, all her previous singles were much better, but i'm still excited to see what else she has to offer this time round.
Not her best but still pretty good. Hopefully this is the Running Back to the fierceness that was Burn for the second single!
Astoundingly terrible song. Seriously awful. It has no melody, no hook, crappy production...
I have to agree with Jark :(. I loved 'Running Back', 'Burn' and a few others off of her debut album but this is awful. Vocals are really weak too.

Get Em Girls - The Album is released on friday in the best country in the world aka Australia.

She has put an album sampler on youtube :w00t:

You can get a signed copy of the album from Sanity.com.au [i phoned my mum earlier and basically demanded it for Xmas ] it's $19.99 with $5.00 shipping [somewhere around £14] It's $21.99 for the Aussies [i think international shipments don't pay GST which is Aussie VAT]

Based on that sampler i am already in love. It sounds f***ing incredible

I've heard Saturday Night on the radio a few times. It's just okay for me .. I'm not overly impressed with her 2nd album, she has gone too mainstream and is trying to be an international smash but the material just isn't there. And if I'm honest, the Aussies aren't feeling it either haha! Been Waiting was amazing - it wasn't try hard.
I've been left extremly dissapointed by this era so far, everything I've heard barely touches how good the last album was. Get 'Em Girls remains as uninterestingly bad as it was on first listen, and I dont have much hope for the album either.

Same as Aled :( Her debut album was SO good too, this is just generic trash imo.

I'm going to jump on the bandwagon and say I share the exact same view :(

Well luckily for me i like generic :P

Forget Your Name is far far far better than both Saturday Night an Get Em Girls.

Okay I've been quite vocal about how I didn't think her debut was all that but this album is WONDERFUL. A lot of it is slightly generic but it doesn't matter - the melodies are massive, the hooks are huge. And thankfully NOTHING on the album is anything like Get Em Girls. It's just pure dance pop.

The best songs are Forget Your Name, Accelerate That, Saturday Night, Reconnected, Like This, Maze and Not Me. ALL of them could be singles. As it happens the third single is Scariest Part which is also very good.

Is this definitely getting a UK release?

Saturday Night is AMAZING.

SN >>>>>>>> GEG ^_^

No idea, Been Waiting was rumoured to be getting a release a while back and she was supposedly signed to Ministry of Sound but $h!t all has happened since then and she isn't on the MoS website.

We might get a hybrid, or they may skip BW altogether [i hope not as Burn and Up/Down are just too good not to be appreciated by the masses]

I am hopeful she'll get a UK release, but i can't see it happening soon.

I heard Saturday Night on the radio the other day, but don't get too excited about it signalling a UK release, it was on a station notorious for being completely random with what they play e.g. I first heard What's My Name by Rihanna on there before I was even aware that it had leaked, so maybe an hour after it had done so then
i Loved 'Been Waiting' one of my fave albums that I downloaded last year so I've taken plunge and just downloading this now i like 'get em girls' also saturday night is on itunes as well
