Posted September 30, 201014 yr I'm not sure if anyone is aware, but in four weeks, the Enya forum will be archived if there isn't an increase in activity. :( This is a slow period since Enya doesn't have any upcoming releases, album or otherwise. If anyone has any suggestions, please drop them here. Source: http://www.buzzjack.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=118459 This saddens me greatly because I enjoy this forum. :(
September 30, 201014 yr All things come, all things go. A now time to go away. No useful activity, no new suggestions, no new discussions. Few old fans only. So sad... :(
September 30, 201014 yr What gripes me is, there are fora here, with even LESS activity/utility here, that will more than likely be kept on, since the pop tart flavor of the minute lovers will cry and whine a lot more than some, like us, who use this Enya forum.....and, what REALLY gripes me, is the addition of a Katy Perry forum, after which, it was announced, that there will be an archiving of forums here, and, no further forums will be requested for the foreseeable future... If they archive this forum, why not just wipe the slate clean, so to speak, and get rid of EVERYTHING, and start anew.... end of rant....
October 2, 201014 yr Katy Perry does have new music out and she's making a lot of appearances. Enya has no presence whatsoever so unfortunately there's really not much to discuss...
October 2, 201014 yr Author All things come, all things go. A now time to go away. I can't see it that way because I put a lot of work into this forum. I feel really upset that it's going to be archived. I enjoy being here.
October 3, 201014 yr Katy Perry does have new music out and she's making a lot of appearances. Enya has no presence whatsoever so unfortunately there's really not much to discuss... Even without a constant presence on television or in the news, she has managed to sell more than 80 million records....outselling the likes of Mariah Carey, Bjork, and Sarah MacLachlan......since Enya goes for substance over quantity.....it's no small wonder there's a slow, or quiet time, like now.....if, with this quiet time, it means that this forum's to be archived, there's not much I can do, without spamming.... I suppose you're one who is dying for some sort of tabloid press?? like 'Enya Caught Dining With Unknown Man'?? Edited October 3, 201014 yr by bigwiglaf
October 3, 201014 yr I can't believe there would be someone who cared about "Enya caught dining with unknown man". But, "Enya caught dining with entire cast of Riverdance", that's a news story.

Yes I am :naughty: And is there anything wrong with that <_< "Any" interesting news would be very welcome ;) Edited November 25, 201014 yr by Clare
November 25, 201014 yr My point was that just because Enya is a successful act, there's still not much to discuss about her *at the moment*. I don't care for tabloid press but in the case of Katy Perry you can at least fill a thread with chart updates, while in the case of Enya, not even the compilation album caused a lot of discussion.
November 26, 201014 yr Yes I know what you're saying. We were lucky when I got this forum opened in 2006. Amarantine hadn't been long released, then we had It's in the Rain released and the confusion over where it was going to actually be available (a standard Enya single then). Then there was the Someone Said Goodbye remix along with the Sounds of the Season EP, as well as Adeste, Fideles being released in the UK. Then in 2007 we had all the frustration and rumours of the Christmas album release, which of course happened in a slightly different format in 2008. And then there was the compilation, DVD and new version of Aniron last year. That's a pretty hectic few years in Enya world! Unfortunately now, contact with the three of them has completely dried up once again, and it could well be late 2012 before we hear another word from them via the official website. It'd be nice if we got an album at the end of next year, but I really think 2012, or maybe even 2013 is more likely for the next album. As long as she comes back with an amazing album, I don't mind too much anyway! A killer first single would be nice as well - something like Orinoco Flow or Anywhere Is would be pretty amazing.
November 28, 201014 yr Author something like Orinoco Flow or Anywhere Is would be pretty amazing. Unfortunately, I don't think we are going to have a repeat of anything like those. :( It's hard to duplicate something on that level.
