Results announced on Saturday 16th October. October 2, 201014 yr Horrible bunch of acts Of course haven't heard the songs yet but not looking good
October 2, 201014 yr Some good songs on the web selection! I think Chorale would do well in the arena, but not sure if the people of Europe would like it. It is a bit of a club anthem! :P
October 2, 201014 yr Author I like the Chorale track, but it's quite similar to 'Lose Control' imo, and that didn't get a good result. I've only listened to about five tracks so far. The one at the top of the page sounded ok, the next couple weren't quite as good. Further down the page, 'This Is My Life' sounded a bit like Sweden 2010 & UK 2009 combined, which is no bad thing, but it wasn't quite as good. And do they really want to submit a song with the same title as a song which didn't qualify this year :kink:
October 3, 201014 yr There aren't many great songs there, but that isn't surprising really. Chorale is my favourite and I also rather like Blackbird. Paul Oxley was also OK. The rest were average or sub-parr imo.
October 16, 201014 yr Author Kaisa will be happy. Here are the three songs who came top 3 in the web selection and have made it to the live shows. Saara Aalto - 'Blessed with love' Cardiant - 'Rapture in time' Father McKenzie - 'Good enough' mr1MQ5kgKog eu11P5LZRZU W7dc5VOfKqI
October 16, 201014 yr Oh god, they're all horrible. Actually Saara is kind of OK, but it would be better in Finnish.

November 29, 201014 yr The songs are up: http://satumaa.yle.fi/euroviisut (click on Katso lisää) I started writing a long commentary on all of these, but my Firefox crashed :arrr: Anyway my faves are Jonna (Feist meets Tone Damli), Jimi Constantine (Danny Saucedo meets Haffi Haff does Bon Jovi), Milana Misic (not very Finnish but very http://www.moopy.org.uk/forums/images/smilies/disco.gif), Tommi Soidinmäki (quite oldschool schlager with a touch of rock, apparently with a spanish title and a cute scruffy guy) :)
November 29, 201014 yr I'm quite liking Automatic Eye, Jimi Constantine and Eveliina Maatta. The Father McKenzie song also sounds a lot better on second listen than it did when I heard it during the wildcard stage. Tommi has a good song, but his voice is rather scary :(
November 30, 201014 yr Well, the selection is actually quite good! :o Nothing really stood out at first listen. But I really disliked Kuunkuiskaajat when i first heard it, and it later climbed into my Top 3 of last year's ESC! Saara Alto should be ashamed for ripping-off some song (can't remember the title) almost completely! Oh and Pamela is TERRIBLE. And i really laughed at the Paradise Oskar song
November 30, 201014 yr Tommi's song would be rather good if he didn't sound like bloody Jeronimas Milius :/ Now that Eveliina track DEFINES http://www.moopy.org.uk/forums/images/smilies/disco.gif on the verses, but then it doesn't really go anywhere else for the chorus. Still by far my favourite.
November 30, 201014 yr I quite like the selection, especially after the horrible first stage. Automatic Eye sound like they always sound which is not much but sometimes enough. Soma Manuchar I know is a good performer but the song disappoints me a bit Paradise Oskar...What a horrible name but I would.. Bit of James Blunt there Jimi Constantine...Well he's not a good singer and it's all about the performance but song is decent Milana is my favourite. She's a brilliant singer and performer Eveliina...No idea who she is.. Chorus is a huge letdown like Tyron said 'Blessed with Love' is boring to the third degree 'Pamela'... The only fantastically hideous song here and even more with the horrible English. This will probably win. Edited November 30, 201014 yr by SKOB
December 1, 201014 yr Automatic Eye - Too much like All Time Low etc. Marko Maunuksela - Not too bad actually. Started off very lame, but got better. Johanna Iivanainen - Far too slow for my liking. Jonna - Sounds like Lena but better. Cardiant - Love it, we all know that :D Soma Manuchar - It's mediocre, but nothing special. All I have time for at the minute.
