One of this year's Christmas blockbusters to hit the movie screens on 26 December. Its been 25 years for a sequel to the original film Tron, with state of the art CGI effects.

I remember watching the original movie for its day, it was pretty impressive, Tron Legacy is shaping up to cash in on the Xmas releases this year.

Starring Jeff Bridges, Bruce Boxietner and Garrett Hedlund.

I can't believe this topic has five posts? NONE commenting on the film?

I just saw it... one of the most visually engrossing films I've ever seen. It was pure heaven to look at. I doubt if anybody left the cinema not wanting to live in that world. The plot was a bit nonsensical but really, who the fuck cares about THAT? To use my favourite Grimlyism the whole thing was just unutterably fukkin' cool... 10/10. Easily.

Oh and the CGI used on Jeff Bridges was MINDBLOWING.

Oddly I found the film to be the exact opposite of everything you've said except the plot being nonsensical - which it was. I found it poorly acted, scripted and rather than visually stunning I found it bland and tedious except the escape scene at the end. Notsomewhere I found appealing at all. Didn't think Bridges CGI was convincing at all either.

A shame really as I loved the original back when I was 9 or whtever it was

Olivia Wilde is all I need :)

I enjoyed this when I saw it, pure trash but as a popcorn film with a bit of CGI eye candy it was great fun.
