Its not our fault if people come in and spam

The other topic wasn't spammed by other people, just you two... Have a little look at the last couple of pages and tell me honestly whether you think that's forum discussion or spam...

It was spam, alot of spam  We went over board and I am sorry for that.

I will do my very best to stop it and only post scream 4 news if it is reopened.

I feel so bad now

No need to feel bad at all! Just don't do it :P

i still need to see scream. is it really that scary cos whenever i see that ghost face guy now i just always think of scary movie and it makes me laugh. i have sen the drew barrymore scene on tv once somewhere which is obviously where they got the begining of the first scary movie from so it'd be cool to see what other bits they got from scream. though i should probably have watched them the other way around. though scary movie is AMAZING

The good thing about it is that it's essentially a parody of other horror films, except unlike Scary Movie it does it really tastefully. The humour therefore makes it much less scary (which is the only reason I like them because I don't DO horror.) I'd say it's more jumpy and more of a thriller than a scary film.

I'd say the first one is the scariest. There is a few "OMFG bits when the Killer pops out but thankfully he phones his victims

There's alot of comedy in it too. I'm basically repeating Andre

Plus, Courteney Cox is in it so it is never spooky with her :kink:

I think you may be correct

I don't find them scary in the slightest now (although Sream did scare me when I was younger, especially the end of the opening scene, regarding a certain tree). Overall, they are not even that bloody either, the amount of blood they used decreased with every film. I think the goriest part of the whole trilogy was the last act of the first film, in the country house.

Also, like Andre said, it's pretty much a parody film of old school slashers like Halloween (but if you watch something like Child's Play 2 - which is gloriously over the top - before you watch Scream, it will be easier to see what they are taking the p*** out off. Otherwise, certain scenes, like when the killer keeps coming back to life, will be lost on you). The slasher genre was dead before Scream came out, and it took the self-referential concept that Craven used in A New Nightmare, and made it a popular sub-genre all in itself. Which is why Scary Movie is stupid - it spoofs a spoof.

^Spot on, i found this on IMDB:

Scream = 50 gallons*

Scream 2 = 30 gallons*

Scream 3= 10 gallons *

*artificial blood

The bit that got me the most when I was younger was the first scene of the second movie, especially the bit in the toilet cubicle. :(

Yea and when she entered the cinema and the killer was next to her and he stabbed her that was awful especially as people thought she was joking when she stood up bleeding at the front.

And the first scene in the first movie with Drew Barrymore was chilling when the killer said i want to know who im looking that that sent shivers Down my spine.

Another awful part was when she just been stabbed and called mommy when her parents were just feet away - so sad.

The bit I still find horrible to watch is in the third one with Sidney in the movie set of her house. Her door is moving, she backs up and out of nowhere, the killer

smashes through the window and pulls her out

Ok so all I see in this topic is a rehash of what was going on in the other topic. Im going to close both topics for a short while and open up Scream 4 when its closer to the release. If you guys want to have a conversation theres PM/MSN for that but please keep it away from the boards.
Opened again for a short trial run. Keep the spam out or its closed again.
