"Bigger Than Us" is f***ing good.

I don't know what the director was on when he thought 'Paramedics give CPR to a bar of chocolate' would be a fantastic premise for a music video, but I want some.

 

I bought White Lies' first album, gave it a few spins, then let it gather dust on my shelf, not making the transition to the iPod. This song however has given me new hope for them. It's a fantastic anthemic song, although it sounds like something that's been done hundreds of times before.

The video is indeed utterly barking. It makes the last MGMT video seem almost tame.

I can't wait for the album apparently I got an email today telling me its on the way.

This could actually be as big as the debut despite the lower charting single... I hope so at least ^_^

Well, it does sound like White Lies... Not much has changed since 1st album. Had a better feeling about To Lose My Life though but I might end up loving this anyway.

not as instant as To Lose My Life was but I'll give it a few more plays before I gather my thoughts on it

 

saw a negative review of it on the Drowned In Sound website and noticed a song they did when they were a band called Fear Of Flying and I'm quite surprised they didn't continue in that vein actually as this is quite good. This is probably a bit similar to the last Gaslight Anthem album American Slang for me though, I didn't think too much instantly of that and I absolutely love it now

Ah, so it was you listening to the album at the same time as me. I saw you on LastFM but didn't recognise the name until now :lol:

I sincerely hope that anti-piracy groups have no question marks about me scrobbling an album that is yet to be released in a few days and they are unfamilar with last.fm :rolleyes:

Really funny that coz I thought the same thing and what was the first thing I did after I heard Ritual for the first time? Put on In This Light.

 

Have to say that after two listens I am not that impressed.
