wonderful pictures Meg, thanks. So glad he sang Hey jude so well.
Thanks Meg, Glad you got home ok.

We didn't meet him before or after. I had to come straight from work and just made it in time and it finished after 11pm so I needed to get home and it takes a while.

A friend of mine came along as she is a big Beatles fan and she thought Darius has a fantastic voice and sang really well.

My pics aren't nearly as good as Meg's but here they are. We were quite far back with too many people blocking our view.

stunning photos..off to tweet that chap----he must be tone deaf, i am so pleased he did well.

i shuldnt doubt him, but my nerves, i feel so much pressure for him to prove himself continually-which he does - had awful dreams all night, about empty gigs, and such

I wouldn't bother with that guy. I think he's one of the chorus, a classical singer who does both MT and opera. See what you think but in Meg's picture at the end, I'm pretty sure he's the blond chap almost directly behind Darius ( excluding the orchestra).

Talk about Feeling Good

It would be nice for him if he had one but I'm sure he'll remember those moments without one.
The octave thing was the same as Nessun Dorma complaint. Obviously, this fella thought that everyone could do their own style of Beatle song apart from D

yup, thats exactly what i am thinking, i was scared darius was shifting up and down all over the place trying to find the key lol but i should have known...lol
I think we'd all thought it had finished - and then Darius started singing again. I didn't really hear the first part of that last little bit as I so wasn't expecting it and couldn't see him because we were 20 rows back and a lady in front of me had 'big hair'. I was just fiddling around.

Don't think Darius was expecting the audience to applaud at that pause when he was supposed to sing the last few lines. Still, it meant he got double applause.

Thanks Meg, Glad you got home ok.

I was really worried that we wouldn't. As it was, we didn't get back until 12:30. Mum is exhausted today. That was just too late for her to wait up.

Lovely photos, Nina. It's marvellous how cameras can take pics we can hardly see.

Aw your poor mum! You'll have some pampering to do now.

I'll bet she was happy for you, that you'd had a good time.
