She was - but it's only 10 days since her last stroke. She'd come on so well and was so happy that we went. David was happy to look after her and give her a sandwich for her tea. I wouldn't do it again though

well..just watched the other performances on youtube...darius was wonderful, but then it does prove i dont care for other performers...

I'm putting an incomplete video on my facebook. I wouldn't put it on a public site as it's not been cleared but since a version is already on youtube, I thought this would be Ok. According to facebook, it should take another 7497 hours to upload. I don't believe them though. I'm also putting the end bit up - again, bad for heads which kept getting in my way - I only had a very narrow space to look through. That'll probably take about 4000 hrs to complete. As long as they're facebook hrs and not real ones, they should both be on this afternoon some time

thats fine as funny enough he's the only one i'm interested in, all respect to the icon and the voice dame bassey, but i have heard her do that better in the past i am sure(although when I mentioned that Shirley bassey had done this song a lot to my hubby, he said he thought that was the one Joe Longthorne used to do -)whereas Darius never ceases to have me on tenderhooks worrying, then wows me with his performances,

editing to say meg=your vid is so much better, the sound too - perhaps i didnt appreciate the other performances due to the poorer sound quality - but darius; voice sounds magnificent, goosebumps on watching that..thanks so much

Shirley Bassey was just how she should be. She delighted her fans and everyone on stage and off were delighted to see her. I bought this camera for the sound quality, as I think the sound more important then the picture - although it handles that quite well as well.

she always has, she is the best female performer out there, a true star, a fantastic voice iconic along with barbara striesland in my book= its just i expect her to be tip top,take it as read lol i grew up on a diet of shirley bassey. i would imagine going by the sound on your video she was really belting it out, on youtube the sound doesnt relect the power of her and tony christies voices, hence it wasnt really anything but a bit of a disappointment - having heard them sing thesesongs before with better sound.

Shirley well and truly belted it out. I'd have recorded her but 2 or 3 people near us had been stopped videoing and I didn't want to be forced to miss the Darius bit at the end.

 

This wasn't being filmed for TV so I'm glad we got there.

I only took 2, one was definitely blurred so I stopped taking them. I've only just realised why....I wasn't wearing my glasses :(

that has happened to me too, glasses can be a bind, even wiith these variafocals trying to see the lcd screen somtimes makes me think its blurred, nice photos though, loved the manly hugs

I like the optical view finders. I wouldn't buy anything other than an handbag camera without one.

tut, my hubby doesnt think much of the song..he said darius is singing too deep..thought he should sing it like he sang colourblind..

Then it wouldn't be different if he just copied how the Beatles sang it. I liked it this way. If he'd done it as he does his acoustic songs, it'd have had to be Darius and his guitar.
