October 11, 201014 yr Author Episode two is a lot better than the pilot for my money. Pilots are nearly always a bit sketchy but once a show settles down it can find its groove - I reckon I'll be hooked on this within a few episodes if it keeps the quality up.
October 11, 201014 yr Well there is no element of a parody or trying to take the piss. As for getting their powers in a plane crash, it's actually explored in the storyline - Stephanie is a research scientist who believes that there was something in the water when the plane landed in the river and she takes a water sample in the hope of discovering the cause. There are some humerous moments when they try out their powers for the first time, of course, especially with Jim. It's a relatively upbeat and big-hearted show. yeah my point was they werent trying to take the p*** or be a parody, but it was coming across that way.
November 27, 201014 yr Anyone watch this show? I'm watching the pilot at the moment. It's about a family that gains superpowers....so it's like a Tv Drama series of The Incredibles. I do like it so far....it started off a bit too quick though....but I'm getting into it. NbBplfoXBbY One strange thing I noticed is they don't seem too concerned with keeping their new abilities under wraps....blabbing almost instantly to their best mates and talking about it casually in crowded areas. Apart from that though I'm liking it. I think it's only been airing in America right now (8 episodes have aired so far) since September. Edited November 27, 201014 yr by Sabrewulf
November 27, 201014 yr Author I do! There's another thread somewhere although it got derailed with a big argument so maybe best to keep this in here. I've seen the first five or so episodes so far and it does improve a lot about three episodes in.
November 27, 201014 yr Ok, if that's the case then this can stay... What I don't understand about this show......have none of them heard of secret identities before? Sheesh you think It would be one of the first things they'd think about. I'm enjoying it though, just some things seem a bit odd. Also, I really really don't like that maths teacher. :puke: Edited November 27, 201014 yr by Sabrewulf
November 28, 201014 yr The old thread was closed. And if the same arguement appears again there will be warnings. If you don't like the show fair enough and good for you, leave this thread alone and go somewhere else.

If you don't like the show fair enough and good for you, leave this thread alone and go somewhere else. I'm not going to start the arguement up again, but what you say here confuses me, so in the TV forum you arent allowed to discuss a tv show if you don't like it? pretty f***ing stupid rule to me, the idea you would warn someone if they came in here and criticised a tv show is mental. theres plenty of tv shows in this forum i like that i discuss, but if i'm also not allowed to criticise tv shows then i might aswell not bother posting in the tv forum full stop, i'll save my discussions on tv shows for forums that can actually accept alternative opinions and debate properly.
November 28, 201014 yr The person that plays Stephanie Powell is reminding me of another character I've seen so much but I can't think of where I saw her....:/

Criticism is fine as long as its constructive, same goes for discussion. My post was for this thread only (hence the words "this thread") and not a general rule for the entire forum. I for one don't want to see this thread going to $h!t like the other one. People are free to voice whatever opinions they have.
