We'd been told

he was dead

though...

Well yeah (I;d actually forgot he was supposed to be dead so I guess that's why I was so sure it was him) but I mean who else could it have possibly been?

I think the highlight of the episode was Renee's relationship with the Barman, I think she definately needs a bigger part next season.

Just caught up on the last 4 episodes

I am glad they rushed the resolution to Paul and Felicia. I've been so bored of it. But the second half of the finale, wow. It has set up Season 8 brilliantly. I wasn't expecting that at all. Wow

I don't watch this poop anymore but I did find this little featurette quite interesting:

Brenda Strong has also hinted that the 8th season will be the last and that Mary-Alice will feature more often in flashbacks.

Oh Jark, I would give Season 8 a chance, the finale suggests great things, it really was classic DH.

Tbh I don't know why I've stuck with it for so long, but there are still good moments hidden in it's tired routine. I really hope this one is the last though, and that is goes out on some sort of high.

I really want to catch up with this but I will probably need to start from the very beginning even though I've watched every episode until mid season 5 or so. Can't remember shit.
To be honest I can't really remember much post-Season Two, I wouldn't say it's a show that really requires you to, although Season Seven does bring up two unresolved storylines that fans had been moaning about for ages, and that no really cared about anymore by the time they got round to it. But the 'previously' bit would fill you in anyway. I would just continue from where you left off if you can remember, or just start afresh from Season Six.
Series 8 really needs to be the last, series 7 was so boring, for the first time, i never really cared about missing an episode and still haven't managed to catch up on the last four or so.

Seems pretty much confirmed that next season will be the last for the show.

In one way I am sad, but if I'm being honest, the quality has declined and it is probably about time. As long as Eva isn't off my screen too long.

:( The writers had better make this season the standard of the first and finish it properly. They had better NOT kill a housewife!

Not a huge surprise, I just hope it goes out on a high, at least relative to the last few seasons. It will be a HUGE change not having it on TV though, I've followed it avidly since day 1.
I must admit I'm pretty gutted it's ending. Despite the decline in solid storylines, I still enjoy watching it and will definitely miss seeing Eva Longoria as Gaby Solis. As someone mentioned earlier, I really hope they end on a bang without killing a housewife.
I also hope they are remain friends and stay on the lane. Lynette & Tom getting back together would be good too. Might not be the most interesting ending, but no one needs to be killed and it would be a very good send off all the same. It is one of those shows which appears to have had a big impact on TV.
Yeah I'm just glad. If my cat's glory years were behind him and he had half a lung hanging out I'd definitely insist on having him put down pronto.
What a GRIM analogy. :(
