Karloff and the band experienced certain creative and artistic differences during the writing and recording of their second album. These irreconcilable and diverging approaches resulted in the band asking Karloff to leave the group. Karloff will pursue a musical career elsewhere. Do you think this will affect the dynamics of the group, especially with the new single out next week.
July 18, 200619 yr Author Virgin.net Music news Kasabian star moves on Leicester-based rockers Kasabian have revealed that lead guitarist Chris Karloff has left the band. Artistic differences during the production of the follow up to the band's eponymous debut album have been cited as the major reason for the split. A statement on the band's official website reads: "Lead guitarist/keyboard player Chris Karloff and Kasabian have parted company. "Karloff and the band experienced certain creative and artistic differences during the writing and recording of their second album. These irreconcilable and diverging approaches resulted in the band asking Karloff to leave the group. Karloff will pursue a musical career elsewhere." Kasabian release their new album 'Empire' on September 4 with the title track being released as the first single on July 24.
July 18, 200619 yr I dunno what to make of it tbh. I ain't really a huge Kasabian fan so... What there doing with their new single could turn out to be dodgy seen as there releaseing the single before it has had any airplay what so ever.

Best thing they could do...and I wish others would follow. This actually builds up an excitement. People will be on listening posts like crazy that week. Many will get caught up in the moment and actually buy it. I wish more people would do this instead of sending it our for plays 2 months before release.

Yeah I think it could be a brilliant idea, although it could also massivley backfire.
