October 13, 201014 yr Yes, why is 'Over The Rainbow' no. 1 in Germany. I had a genuine :o moment when I checked out the German singles chart last week. Terrible for Robbie Williams. :o I really thought 'Shame' was going to be much more successful across Europe - like GD mentioned, even 'Rudebox' was #1 :lol:
October 13, 201014 yr Author "Shame", like in the UK, was released far too late in Germany, but there the time lapse is more damaging. Somewhere Over The Rainbow is charting due to a popular TV add. Surprise of the week is Zaz charting at #51 in the album chart :o Still no single release planned
October 13, 201014 yr Totally agree, the record company definitely messed up big time with 'Shame'. Actually, 'Shame' was released to German iTunes just after the track premiered so that must've been 6 weeks ago? That's at least 5 weeks where 'Shame' could've been charting on download sales. So I guess it's no surprise it's failed to go top 10. I reckon the record company took the whole thing for granted and they arrogantly assumed 'Shame' would go to no. 1 regardless. If so, this serves them right. :D
