I came across this band called Unsun the other day, who reminded me a little of Evanescence. Apparently they’re Polish! I think that’s pretty cool. I’ve been listening to their new album: Clinic For Dolls. It’s definitely something a little different, but I like the diversity it’s giving my iTunes. Are there any other European artists that you guys listen to or suggest?

There is an unlimited list.

Behemoth (Polish, VERY heavy)

Rammstein (German, need no introduction)

Dimmu Borgir (Norwegian, Very Symphonic and Heavy)

Apocalyptica (Finnish, Metal music played on Cello's)

Elvenking (Italian, Slightly like Apocalyptica. Not on Cello's though)

Satyricon (Norwegian, Also quite heavy)

Alestorm (Scottish, Sorry. Had to mention them :P)

Tyr (Faroese, Viking Folk Metal)

Skindred (Welsh, Reggae Metal)

Most of these, you probably have heard of though.

Definitely have to mention Apocalyptica, those guys are unique - metal on cellos, and it works!

Also Europe loves their symphonic metal, so there's bands like Nightwish, Tarja and Within Temptation all worth checking out if you like female vocals and a bit of orchestra to go along with your guitars!

Talking of Symph Metal:

-Delain

-Epica

-Elvenking

-Mago De Oz

-Nightwish

-Tarja Turunen

-Within Temptation

-Therion

There is also Lacuna Coil.

Also Europe loves their symphonic metal,

They have been around for years and have released some great rock tracks.
