I'm sorry but looniness aside, no one can deny Kylie has not had the same effect this time round as she ever has before. Even her X era was rather mooted and that resulted in two more Top 10 singles. I like her, I am a big fan but it's pretty damn obvious that people love Kylie - hence she sells - but she's not competition for any other major female around today.

Alot of the female artists around at the moment are new and doing everthing in their power to make an impact, lets see how relevant all of those are in 20 years time. Just becuase she hasnt done that well over the last month or 2 since the great start to the project. Hardly means she isnt relevant. X may have ben mooted but is still one of her best selling albums ever in the uk. People really are taking all this OTT. 1 flop single and all of a sudden she is over or not relevant. And yeah she prob isnt competition for female singers under 30. Either is madonna or anyone else over a certain age. We live in an ageist society esp in the music industry. Thats a given. Alway happens. Doesnt bother me at all. She has nothing to prove to anyone. As for you comment that people only buy it becuase she is Kylie. That is a bold statemnet with no proof so its not obvious at all. Maybe people just dont like the material. And if that is the reason then they are a bit sad. Are we using the same excuse for Cheryl Cole then becuase it certainly isnt cos of her talent. Everyone just loves Cheryl

Im old enough to know that not everything Kylie does is great. Im not a Kylie loon. Far from it. I go on facts. Not just on my love for Kylie. You gave your opinion and I gave mine. I can be just as critical on Kylie but only if I think its relevant based on my own personal opinion.

October 19, 201014 yr Apparently the song is just Taio's next single, Falling In Love, with a verse recorded by Kylie. And there is NO denying that this is an attempt to keep her relevant. Taio Cruz does not need Kylie. Kylie on the other hand DOES need a duet with somebody to reignite interest in this project. Aphrodite hasn't even sold 200,000 albums after two singles, one of which was huge. The era is beginning to become quite a disaster. People need to take the rose coloured glasses off and admit that things are looking really bad for her right now.
October 19, 201014 yr Oh come on, that's an exaggeration. Yeah it's not sold millions and millions but you're making out like her career is on the verge of being finished, 200,000 so far isn't awful and it has been in the top 40 for 14 weeks up until this week when it fell out for the first time, and is #29 on the YTD chart so if the sales look poor it's because the market in general is bad right now, only one album has managed to cross 900,000 so far (that being Lady GaGa). Yeah, 'Get Outta My Way' underperformed but so what? It could always be worse, loads of artists have total flop second singles.

But they're not usually the song which was originally intended to be the lead single of the album and which was paid big money for in a bidding war against Alexandra Burke and Britney Spears, such was the guarantee that it would be a smash hit. Get Outta My Way was THE one everybody wanted for second single, the supposed huge hit in waiting. And now there's nothing left. Unless she re-releases the album will not even match X's sales, and for somebody with Kylie's status to only manage platinum is pretty much a disaster. They won't even make their money back because the recording sessions for the album were so huge and went on for so long.
