Why do you blame Jade and Kimberley when it's actually the producer's fault for playing the Kylie track too loudly? Jade would've been quite good if they hadn't played Kylie too loudly, you could barely hear Jade. I don't know about the Kimberley's performance but I guess it's pretty the same. :P

Given that she has the tour coming up, it makes sense for her not to promote.

i wonder will kylie perform a solo version of it on tour?

#10 in the uk this week, with all the brits stuff etc i was sure higher would slip out of the top 10 so fair play to it for hanging on in there.

#11 in the first set of midweeks, im really impressed with how its holding up, at worst it will be top 15 again this week which would roughly bring its sales to 165,000.

3 weeks in the top 10 is pretty impressive, for a track that first came to light last November and has had THE craziest promotion! It's all been sooooooo confusing!!!! Taio, Kylie, Travie, Jade, Kimberley, Kylie's vid, Travie's vid!!!! Wish Taio (or the record company) would of just stuck to the original Kylie version (well, at least for Europe anyway), it would of all been soooo much easier to follow! Possibly would of been a bigger hit if it had been released a little earlier, considering the video was release in November/December and it's now nearly March....AND the faffing about with the physical release!! Jeeez!!! Anyhoo, glad i got that off my chest!!! Rant over!!!

I completly agree, the single has done alot better than i originally expected it do and while i do like it get outta my way and better than today in my opinion were both more deserved of highers success than higher itself, but that aside i do like it and am impressed with how it has performed. With the single doing well on downloads it was a crazy move not to have released a phyisical as it would have definitly boosted highers position last week and could have got it as high as #5 or #6 as kylie is always a huge phyisicial seller in the singles.

Higher drops just 2 places to #12 in the Uk this week, im impressed with its staying power.

It does seem to be holding up very well in terms of chart position and sales (perhaps another 30k+ this week?)

 

It might even end up outselling All The Lovers at this rate?

 

Just think what it might've achieved with a accompanying CD release.

I agree about the cd single,ive said it before and i will say it again it was crazy not releasing a phyisical. Im not sure if higher will outsell all the lovers and one way dont want it to as even though i like higher, all the lovers is a million times better, sill if higher manages in or around 30,000 in tomorrows sales update it will roughly put higher on 175,000 and if it holds up chart wise again next week sales will be very near 200,000.

I hope it continues to hold and takes advantage of the ever increasing demand for track downloads. All these sales contribute to Kylie's UK stats.

 

Remember she hit a low sales/ popularity period in the mid to late 90s just as single sales were huge. At the rate of current sales, Gaga and Rihanna will soon catch her UK total.

It's sticking at #12 in the latest midweeks.

 

I have a feeling that the lack of a CD release may mean that there continues to be a longer chart run based on downloads alone.

Its holding on very well indeed and i think it will stay #12 on sunday,i still think its silly not doing a phyisical cd and its still not to late.

its number 18 at the moment on i-tunes so I dont think it will be number 12 this week.

This sounded FANTASTIC in the club I was in the other night, and it's so nice to hear a Kylie song deemed relevant enough to be played in a club :D Seriously love the song!

Wasnt expecting number 12. Very pleased. Think it will be lower end top 20 this week though.
