And just to remind people about the fact that Kylie has never become a big-selling artist, LY sold 480K, BL about 400K, and X about 465K.

I actually consider then quite big sales.

i don't think it's a bad career move...

she needs to be credible after all and gain new audiences...

For teenagers, Madonna is the artist who featured on that Justin song, so it's no harm that Kylie collaborated with a trendy artist like Taio Cruz who has had 2 worldwide hits this year. Kylie needs to go with the flow, selling records and tour dates is what keeps the artist going, so it's not a bad thing.

Apparently the song is just Taio's next single, Falling In Love, with a verse recorded by Kylie. And there is NO denying that this is an attempt to keep her relevant. Taio Cruz does not need Kylie.

Kylie on the other hand DOES need a duet with somebody to reignite interest in this project. Aphrodite hasn't even sold 200,000 albums after two singles, one of which was huge. The era is beginning to become quite a disaster. People need to take the rose coloured glasses off and admit that things are looking really bad for her right now.

I would hardly call the era a disaster. The era hasnt even finished yet and you are trying to write her off. Aphrodite should continue to sell until well into the new year and all the lovers is officially her biggest single since cant get you out of my head.

I actually consider then quite big sales.

No I don't, sadly we have to part our company here.

Another point though, she actually needs to reinvent herself as that's what keeps her career going. Collaboration with Taio Cruz is actually a bad move, she just needs to do a ballet duet with Brendan Flowers, just like what she did with Nick Cave.

Oh I think so :kink:

I can't believe I'm gonna have Taio Cruz on my ipod and most likely on my personal chart :drama:

Okay, I was a bit skeptical about this whole thing but it's actually very good. :o A nice catchy track.

I was mainly dismissive because I assumed it'd basically be his song and she's have like a random line in it or something, but I'm glad to see it's pretty much equally shared. ^_^

I was expecting the worst I must admit but its not bad. Not amazing but could have been a lot worse.
I've read that it will only be released in Australia.
I've read that it will only be released in Australia.

Really? That must be due to the fact that "Get outta my way" didn't chart at all though it went to No.3 on physical, which means no one is downloading her song...

Heard this song today, its very dull in comparison with her aphrodite material.
This is absolutely terrible. Acts like Taio Cruz are adding absolutely nothing new to the music scene, aside from generic tosh and cliched lyrics. It's sad to learn EMI have advocated this shambles. A load of tosh, Kylie or no Kylie!

Just seen in the chart forum that higher is number 1 in luxembourg itunes, wouldnt it be lovely if the same thing happened in the uk,
It's also number 1 on Ireland iTunes (well it was until Britney came along ). Whilst I was doing updates for Brit's track last night, I saw this was top 10 in quite a few countries actually! I was surprised.
