From the Boyzone Facebook page;

Ronan has been busy whilst in Australia, as not only has he been judging and mentoring on The X Factor, he has also been back in the studio to create the album 'Duet'.

Due for release on 12 November with a single 'Believe Again' scheduled for 5th November, unfortunately the releases are only available in the Australian/New Zealand market.

As well as duets Ronan has recorded in the past - such as 'Father & Son' with Cat Stevens, 'We’ve Got Tonight' with Lulu and 'Your Song' with Elton John - there are new collaborations with his antipodean chums. These include fellow X Factor judge Guy Sebastian, The McClymonts, Lee Kernaghan, new Island Records signing Marvin Priest and New Zealand group Adeaze. There is also a duet of 'To Love Somebody' with Brian McFadden, another Irishman who has embraced Australia. Producer Greg Wells (Katy Perry, Pink, Ronan, Boyzone) was at the helm for the majority of the album which was recorded at Sydney studio 301.

Ronan said, “I have an amazing relationship with Australia and New Zealand. You have welcomed me with open arms and made me feel like one of your own and for that I thank you. So... I thought I would put an album together especially for you! On this record I have had the chance to work with some of your best and it has been an inspiration”.

The first single from the highly anticipated album is “Believe Again” which features a soon to be announced special guest and will be serviced to Australian radio next week and released on November 5. Originally written by Ronan Keating, “Believe Again” has been performed by an array of award winning artists.

Sounds interesting - obviously we won't get it here as he's big news down under at the moment and nobody in the UK/Ireland will have heard of half of the acts he's collaborating with on here.

The first single, Believe Again, can surely only be his own version of the song he wrote for Denmark's Brinck for ESC 2009? If so, I'm looking forward to hearing it as Brinck was essentially mini-Ronan, so it will be nice to hear proper Ronan doing it :lol:

Believe Again is indeed the Eurovision song :o I would have posted before if I read that part... More info here: http://eurocovers.blogspot.com/ I wonder who the duet will be with?

A soon to be announced special guest, sounds intriguing! Maybe one of Boyzone? or somebody he's on the judging panel with on X Factor Aus - i.e. Natalie Imbruglia?

I was slightly addicted to the song last year, and with 2009 being such a high quality year for ESC - Believe Again was actually in my top 5 favourites! I even bought his album - and love it :wub: it's basically a Ronan album though, he is definitely his mini-me :lol:

I never really liked it, but it's interesting a composer that thinks he's too good to enter Eurovision as an artist is releasing a song he wrote for the contest as his own lead single...
I hope he stays away from doing cover versions this time around. He's done far too many and his original songs are miles better.

You can hear Believe Again with Paulini Curuenavuli here. Doesn't mean a lot to me, but apparently she used to be in Young Divas. Anyway, AWFUL production. I never really liked the song anyway...

Ronan's voice is completely interchangeable with Brinck's! What's with the 1996 b-side production though? :mellow:
