Well some suckish news...

 

They will be promotion Mr. Taxi in Korea for follow up promotions until the end of year...so it looks like no repackage or maxi single as such until 2012..

I would definately have a go on this lot. I like that Mr Taxi performance where they wear yellow outfits. Bang tidy. Discovered them in the youtube top 100 chart, very popular aren't they.

But anyway, shame about no repackage, but I love Mr Taxi, so I'm not THAT disappointed.

The Korean version is rubbish though. But it now looks like the repackage album will drop on the 3rd of December with the Korean Mr. Taxi as the lead song for that.... I WANT A NEW SONG! :angry:

What's more annoying is the repackage album is being referred to as the "international edition". So maybe they have scrapped the maxi single, or either way it doesn't look it will be sung in English or have new tracks :(

 

In better news they won best girl group and artist of the year at the Mnet Asian Music Awards :)

I downloaded their performance, I loved it :wub: I want them to release that remix version tbh..

Wow, yes, this was great! And I loved how they switched from Korean to English. The new outfits and dance are PERFECT :wub:

I don't like the intro though, AND I LOVE TH FAN CHANTS!!

 

I'm gonna make a fan chant up when I go to Gaga's next worldwide concert ^_^ although it would be quite weird in English..

I liked the intro, but was disappointed when it went into the regular version. But then excited again when it changed :lol:

 

Haha, cool! It's something that should carry over from k-pop to worldwide pop, I think. You're lucky to get a mexican wave at a concert here. Glowsticks yes, but that's about it.

It shows the artists and others how enthuastic one fan base can be.. I'd love it for to happen in western concerts that I go to :(

They're very Lady Gagesque aren't they. I do find it hard to distinguish between their vocals, must be alot of autotune going on and or maybe one of them just sings the whole thing. Something I've noticed about this lot is the worse looking ones are the ones who do most of the singing. And probably the most ordinary one was voted most popular, found that out in my fruitless attempt to find out what the fittest one was called. Maybe she's more relatable but she probably has a high profile sideline, alot of them do other stuff as well as the band as they've all been in some kind of fame school since they were kids. Who's the girl in the centre at the start of this performance? She's my favourite but she hardly does anything...

I wouldn't call them Lady Gagaesque as their performances aren't outlandish or spectacular or having any theatre related stuff but rather just dancing and singing..

Mr. Taxi isn't really autotuned apart from Hyoyeon's part partly because she isn't known for her singing but her dancing. And the performance you're looking at is Mr. Taxi in a Japanese music show, the playback on that is VERY loud. You're best looking for some songs performed in the Korean territory as playback aren't as loud there. Also as the girls bar one isn't fluent Japanese, it's harder for them to sing as they Koreans and not Japanese. As for who sings the whole thing, it's normally split but these are the main vocals of the group:

 

-Taeyeon

-Jessica

-Tiffany

-Seohyun

 

Something I've noticed about this lot is the worse looking ones are the ones who do most of the singing

That.... I don't know how to say but in general, the best looking ones are usually the one who does the most singing :o . Jessica and Taeyeon in the group have been praised as second/third best looking Girls' Generation member by public votes. First is Yoona who's known for her good Korean looks that every Korean girl wishes for. Maybe it's just a general different taste for you? :P

Most popular is Yoona and as I described, has been voted as the prettiest. Maybe she's ordinary for you :P She's popular because she starred in a very popular Korean Drama as an actress Female Lead Role and won awards for it.

They.... don't really have a high profile sideline. Well Sunny is SM Ent's founder's neice but that's about it. Some trained from 2-3 years to around 6-7 years before they debuted. As a trainee, the only "fame" they get is expectations from the public which group their company will debut next but that "fame" is very minor. And no they didn't attend any fame schools as well. Trainee attends their ordinary high schools just like any Korean would :)

I'm guessing you're talking about "Sooyoung", the tallest member out of the group with long legs? She's a main dancer and just became a rapper as well (er....) after "The Boys" came out. It's hard to split lines between 9 girls in a 3 minute song you know :P She is also the bottom left corner girl in my signature.

They would be fools not to. It's already gone top 10 in various Korean charts without promotion. I do think the repackage album will be quite pointless though.

She's not the prettiest, I mean I'm sure alot of Girls Aloud fans would vote for Nicola Roberts as the prettiest. It seems I was right about her having a big side project.

No not the bottom 3... The one in the middle. The one to the right of her. And the one below her in the bottom right corner. Are you sure that's not the same member?

The members that look alike most is possibly Seohyun and Yuri, both in the centre with Seohyun in the top row and Yuri in the bottom. The rest don't really look alike :P Maybe from afar they look similar but always!
