World Idol - Another reason for The X Factor final not to be over the Xmas period. :lol:

Will be The Trashmen if not the X Factor, but that's a big if. Pulp, Metallica, Electric Six are there as Facebook campaigns - Common People beaten by Cowell-backed Robson and Jerome last time, Metallica because someone wants another rock track at No.1, and Electric Six's Gay Bar for Gay Pride.

I don't see them having the final on Boxing Day. A lot of people would be out rather than home? Either way it's a pretty awesome stratergy but they wouldn't get guest stars on over the festive period. I think they'll be a couple more double eliminations thrown in along the way for it to finish on 12th and the winner's single out in time for the Christmas chart which will be the 19th.

 

I'm backing The Pogues for Xmas #1. Deserves it after all the times it's been top 10 :lol:

 

 

I think the number of people involved would make a Boxing Day final (when there is no public transport) totally impractical. It's not just the people in front of the camera. There's also the audience and all the people working behind the scenes (who would want to be paid twice their usual rate).

There's ZERO chance of The X Factor having a Boxing Day final.

 

The final will be on the same weekend it is every year - one week before the Xmas chart is announced.
