I haven't listened to Taylor's album. I'm interested to see how good it is, considering she fully wrote all the songs.

I definitely prefer Cheryl's The Flood over Promise This.

I like Stay but I just can't help but think they'd be better off releasing other songs from their album.

It's a very good album, there's some filler but a lot of strong material too.

Thanks Jack! It was a close one between Taylor and Cheryl - but Taylor's first two albums also peaked at #2 in my chart, and I wouldn't say Speak Now is better than Fearless, seeing as there are 3 or 4 filler songs towards the end that I can't even remember, hence I relegated it to the same peak position! Haunted, Mean, The Story Of Us and Back To December are all pretty great though! Take Over Control is nothing like Silly Boy - it's electro dance, not GaGa style copy pop :heehee: I was never overwhelmed by that song like everyone else was, I think it peaked at #33 in my chart :lol:

Thanks Dre! I like Loca and never go off it, but it never particularly grows on me either :( It just doesn't have the 'wow' factor for me that the majority of her singles have. I don't think Dizzee helps, his part just feels redundant and I don't personally feel that it fits that well - maybe I'd prefer a solo single. I certainly don't prefer the dire Spanish version! :lol: Better Than Today initially got to #11 for me as an album track so I'm sort of pleased to see it as a single, but also it's obvious that it won't be a hit - Higher is sort of lacking something, I agree, but I do like it.

15. Agreed. It feels so empty and lacking, the whole song does. It was the same with Love Story, I hated that the violins were toned down, it's what helped to make the song special!

19. I already downloaded 5 of the 10 'new tracks' when they appeared on an iTunes special edition earlier in the year! So only CMTO, Doing Fine, Coming Home, Catching Snowflakes and obviously Broken Arrow were new to me.

6. Rihanna - Only Girl (In The World) (4) (CR-13-4-6) Bizarre performance on the X Factor, but the song sounded far stronger live. Will definitely fly up my chart next week

17. Hurts - Stay (Re-entry) (CR-17-OUT-17) Love this song. Doubt it'll be a huge hit for them, but glad they chose it as a single. Illuminated should be the fourth single if they release another from the album

 

*I Blame Coco - In Spirit Golden I have ordered the album, hope it's as good as the singles make it out to be

*Kylie Minogue - Better Than Today Decent tune, good choice for the third single

Nadine Coyle - Insatiable She should have released it physically, not surprised that it's flopping badly. It's a shame, but at least it might speed up the GA reunion :kink:

*Pet Shop Boys - Together Not their best song imo, but it's OK. The Ultimate album is awful though, all my top 3 singles (I Don't Know What You Want, Flamboyant and Integral) have been missed off :(

I'm a little disappointed by the Cheryl Cole album, mainly because of Dizzee Rascal :puke: :lol: . I'll give it another listen, but apart from about 3 or 4 songs it wasn't great. I definitely preferred 3 Words on first listen

I'll probably buy I Blame Coco's album but I don't like this single as much as the previous two if I'm honest. Cheryl's album is a massive grower. I was completely underwhelmed on first listen but I love every song apart from Amnesia now! The Dizzee song is the second weakest on there imo but I still like it.

Agreed, although I didn't realise she'd refused to take part in that! She's definitely my favourite singer, by far, but GA were also all about personality and it's genuinely believable that the other 4 are all best friends, and she's just a spare part who does the lead vocals :lol: I still remember all the outrage surrounding her lying in Irish Popstars in 2001 when she told the producers the wrong age to get into that band Six! I never bought Robbie's other greatest hits so this is definitely a worthwhile purchase for me, althogh admittedly, the second disc with the older material on is far superior!
