Posted November 1, 201014 yr WELCOME TO THE ARTISTS CHART!! How this works is very simple, the artist who is number 1 in the singles and albums charts (this week Cheryl Cole and Kings Of Leon respectively) will receive 100 points, this format continues down the charts up to number 100 which receives 1 point. The more singles and albums an artist has, the higher their position is likely to be. In the case of 2 artists featuring on one song (eg. Travie McCoy & Bruno Mars) both artists will receive equal points. In the result of a tie for a place, the artist with the highest entry will come above the other. So enough waffling! Here is the chart for week beginning 31st October 2010 TOP 30 ARTISTS 01. KATY PERRY - 386 02. Tinie Tempah - 353 03. Michael Buble - 320 04. Kings Of Leon - 269 05. The Wanted - 262 06. Rihanna - 246 07. Eminem - 246 08. Cheryl Cole - 235 09. Script - 223 10. Bruno Mars - 178 11. Joe McElderry - 176 12. Usher - 176 13. The Beatles - 169 14. Taylor Swift - 167 15. Mind you, in the case of dual-credited singles, IMO each artist should only get the appropriate fraction of a point, otherwise the list will be biased towards artists/genres where collaborations are more prevalent.
