Although he's a Scot, Darius would have no trouble at all playing Cleaver, whose character is somewhat two dimensional. It wouldn't take anyone of Darius's ability. Perhaps Robbie's friend Johnny could do it. He has a load of experience and recently played Billy Flynn. maybe Tom Chambers, although I'm not sure how good a singer he is.

 

IMHO, now is not the time for Darius to tie himself down to a six month+ contract in the UK. Sadly I think even a couple of months for a tour is probably not a good idea either. I think Darius has to completely block one country out of his mind and concentrate on the other and atm the latter is the US. He needs his heart and mind focused on the same thing.

 

He seems to be concentrating on his music now, but if Darius wants to keep up and improve his acting skills, is there any point in doing a chick-lit musical here, when as we've seen briefly, he's being asked to read for roles in big films like PL?

 

 

 

Darius will go his own way and, at the moment, that doesn't include musicals. It's the only way he can go - it just isn't in his nature to go against what he feels he should do. I would like to hear a few more of the songs he's written for next years album though

I love the fact that Darius has always been his own man, no matter what, and when he decides to take something on, he gives it his best shot.

One more name rumoured - Rufus Sewell. Some sites mention Gabriel as the role he'll play, but most say role unknown.

i was thinkin if D is bringin the new album out next year. if he got the part in PL where wud he find the time 2 promote the album and shoot the film aspecially wen the film's bein shot in australia?

Anything is possible, they say.

 

However, back in the real world, I think the casting director is going for actors who have had good chemistry with each other in previous films.

 

Rufus Sewell worked with the film's director before and he has recently been in the very same film as the two leads in PL ( Abraham Lincoln Vampire Hunter)

 

There are also surely going to have to be good parts for Australian actors.

I've liked Rufus since 'Cold Comfort Farm'. It's still a film I'll put on every couple of years
