After successfully tracking down the singer, Darius Campbell (thanks to one of my readers), I'm setting you a tougher challenge

Help....at least I hope someone out there can help. Some years ago, either on The X Factor or maybe Britain's Got Talent, there was a young (under 25) male singer, dark hair, good looking, with a good voice, who was eliminated in the semi-final, but for reasons I can't remember, was reinstated back into the final five, where he came either 3rd or 4th....can anyone remember his name and the year? love it. It's the first audition we've got to see.

I saw it a few days ago and wonder wot it was 4 maybe its a new play or somthin 4 tv hopefully he'll let us no soon if he got it.

Over on Facebook Pat has guessed that PL stands for 'Paradise Lost' and it seems very likely. A film is due for release in 2013 with Bradley Cooper being lined up to play Lucifer. Assuming from the dialogue that Darius isn't auditioning for 'Michael" (Jesus) or Adam or Eve(lol!), I wonder which other hopefully predominant character he is hoping to play?! and... yes.... it certainly does sound like Natasha reading for him!

Just been reading the plot 4 the film sounds like i bit of a horror film. I dont do horrors. Sorry D still relly hope u get the part but I rely dont think il b able to watch it

there is another pl, that is a horror film bout a group of teenagers - this one in the audition seems to be an action epic based on miltons poem, if 2+2 adds up correctly lol and bradley cooper as lucifer..doesnot equate tbh, oh well

Thank you. Another piece of the jigsaw of reassurance. Proof that Darius IS keeping his options open.

 

 

He's performing - next at Vibrato's 8th September according to the new calendar

 

We know he's been in the studio writing and recording.

 

And now a little indication that he's still interested in keeping his acting skills honed too.

 

 

:cheer: That Darius should even be sent the script for a film like this is amazing.

 

It's an ambitious project - a multi million pound spectacular epic to be filmed partly in 3D.

 

The scene Darius is reading doesn't give too much away. It could be a very small role - a messenger - or it could be one of the key conspirators behind the formation of Lucifer's legion.

 

Atm they've announced the two leads - Bradley Cooper (Lucifer), who seems to be flavour of the month in Hollywood with quite a few movies made or in the making, and Benjamin Walker (Michael) a young but experienced stage and screen actor is said to be in talks to take the role. BC and BW have just worked together on another film.

Bradley Cooper and Alex Proyas, the Director, were at Comic Con on 22/7 showcasing the film and answering questions. I believe Darius was also there on that date so that may have been when initial interest was shown... it may have even been suggested that D try for the part in the same way it was suggested he 'try out' for Rhett Butler! :D

 

It would be wonderful to see him on the 'big screen'.... especially in 3D!!
