I wonder if anyone heard about the band Phantogram?

Phantogram is an experimental trip-hop/psych-pop duo from Saratoga Springs, NY, formed in 2007. The band members are Josh Carter (vocals, guitars) and Sarah Barthel (vocals, keyboards). From band's myspace page: "Their music is a mix of organic and electronic sounds, with swirling guitar, spaced-out synths, and chopped up samples and rhythms."

 

Before Phantogram, the band had another name (Charlie Everywhere) for a short time. The word "phantogram" means a form of optical illusion.

 

The band released in September 2009 their debut album Eyelid Movies in Europe (February 2010 in the USA). This album was entirely written, produced and recorded by Phantogram. Read some reviews here. It's really excellent and I highly recommend you to listen to it. If you like School of Seven Bells, M83, Slowdive, Warpaint, The xx, Sleigh Bells then I'm sure you will like their music.

Fantastic performance!

I have heard this album a fair few times now and I'm only just getting into the songs Josh sings.

 

Still prefer the ones Sarah sings though.
