Cult stoner rock band Kyuss are set to reunite for a European tour in 2011, it has been claimed.

Thesilvertongueonline.com states that the band's original line up of singer John Garcia, bassist Nick Oliveri and drummer Brant Bjork are on board for the dates, although original guitarist Josh Homme is not involved.

Following Kyuss' split in 1995, both Homme and Oliveri played together in Queens Of The Stone Age.

According to the report, Garcia, Oliveri and Bjork are set to play together under the name Kyuss Lives, and will play the following UK dates as part of a European tour:

Nottingham Rock City (March 31)

Wolverhampton Wulfrun Hall (April 1)

London HMV Forum (2)

i fail to care if Homme isnt involved tbh.

they have started, due next year.

they have started, due next year.

Excellent :D

Tbh this could be worth keeping an eye on if Olivieri is on board, but like you said it's not as good as it could have been.

theres word on the street Homme and Oliveri have made up, in fact there was rumours Oliveri was going to do this year's QOTSA dates (as his Mondo Generator dates were cancelled, but thats probaly in relation to Kyuss). that said I've seen QOTSA 3 times, including this year, never with Oliveri and they have been outstanding each time, seriously incredible live, in fact they $h!t the pants off of GnR at Reading this year, QOTSA should be headlining festivals.

This is immense news even if Homme is not involved.

Seriously doubt I could make it to any of the shows but would love it if new material emerged.
