Posted July 19, 200618 yr Just in: LATEST NEWS FROM OS 19/07/06 SUPPORTING WILL There has been much discussion as to who will be supporting Will Young on the forthcoming Keep On Live Tour. We're now pleased to announce that it will be Alisha's Attic's Shelly Poole and new singer-songwriter Anna Krantz. Anna has a unique sound, a unique voice and every one of her songs tells a personal story. She's already recorded a debut album, Precious Time With You, which was produced by Peter Van Hooke who has compared her to the legendary Carole King. You may have already heard the first single to be taken from it: Sweeter Devotion. Anna has been writing, singing and playing the piano since childhood, her heroes and influences are not theatrical ones however, she's into Mary Black, Rickie Lee Jones, Joni Mitchell, James Taylor and Aretha Franklin. You can already buy the first single, Sweeter Devotion while the album, Precious Time With You arrives on 4th September. Visit the official website at annakrantz.com and her myspace page,myspace.com/annakrantz Shelly Poole Half of sister duo, Alisha’s Attic (famed for I Am, I Feel among other classics), Shelly is also a prolific songwriter who has written a string of hit singles, won an Ivor Novello award nomination and was one of the iconic female voices featured on the Lilith Fair tour of America. Most recently, she has enjoyed a series of songwriting collaborations with pop icons like Sophie Ellis Bextor, Elizabeth Fraser and Rachel Stevens. Her solo work is a contemporary country-folk/rural jazz sound with an emphasis on classic song-writing in the vein of 60s and 70s Joni-esque artists. Edited July 19, 200618 yr by munchkin

July 19, 200618 yr Well the support acts do seem a tad 'normal' for Wil. Maybe this is him delegating. Maybe I won't spend as much time in the bar this tour but like BYM&M's I'd prefer just pure Will. Edited July 19, 200618 yr by truly talented
July 19, 200618 yr Agree TT, I usually give them a watch at least once out of politeness but this time I may not be in the bar so long :D
July 19, 200618 yr Think I've had too much sun. I've now moved my post to the right thread. Edited July 19, 200618 yr by truly talented

July 30, 200618 yr Author I was reading Stage news paper today.in it there is an artical with the guy who runs live nation promotions.. he was talking about support acts and he said that now they have to pay to appear or agree to appear for free in order to get on stage.. Ahh...this must explain the saw lady... Ah - I had a feeling that the Puppinis pulling out had to do with money. They said 'politics', but it's probably because they are popular in their own right and don't need the exposure. Shame - I was looking forward to seeing them. There was an article in one of the Sunday papers about them today.
July 30, 200618 yr There was an article in one of the Sunday papers about them today. It was the Mail on Sunday Munchkin (in one of the endless supplements) - just been reading about them. I had ITV3 on the other night and the advert for their new album came up three times in as many breaks.
July 30, 200618 yr When I was browsing on Amazon I noticed that the Puppini's album is at #2 in the pre-release chart & at #8 on their album chart. It's released tomorrow so it will be interesting to see where it charts. I agree with munchkin that payment probably had something to do with them pulling out of Will's tour.
