Manic Street Preachers will release Some Kind Of Nothingness, featuring the unmistakable voice of Ian McCulloch, on Monday 6th December.

James' first ever gig was Echo And The Bunnymen at Bristol's Colston Hall and describes McCulloch's vocal performance on the track as "extraordinary".

Nicky Wire adds, "Given that it was James, Richey and Sean's first gig, I think there's something resplendent about the fact that he's there singing on our tenth album. It's about loss and the importance of grief". Some Kind Of Nothingness will be released on two CDs and 7", all featuring brand new tracks.

The second CD will be available exclusively from the Manics Store replete with an exclusive track and, for a limited number of pre-orders, a signed sleeve too.

CD1: Some Kind of Nothingness; Broken Up Again; Red Rubber; Evidence Against Myself

CD2: Some Kind of Nothingness; Slow Reflections/ Strange Delays

7": Some Kind of Nothingness; Time Ain't Nothing

Can I even be arsed replying to this thread? (no offence to you Sev - it's the subject matter that offends me so)

Golden Platitude is the only playable track on the album as far as I am concerned.

How fittingly spooky. James Dean Bradfield is perhaps some sort of psychic
