The Black Eyed Peas singer told MTV News that she prefers to concentrate on other projects, including the band's forthcoming album The Beginning and a collaboration with Slash. "We have The Beginning, which is coming out now, so I'm all about Black Eyed Peas right now," she explained. "And Slash, my inner rock chick coming out in that world. I've got my footwear that I'm concentrating on; that's a big [project]." Asked what fans can expect from The Beginning, Fergie said: "You should expect deeper, a little bit darker electro beats and a little bit more of relationship issues on this one. A lot of funny stuff as well."

November 13, 201014 yr Author I liked the solo stuff but prefer her work with the group and in sa way im happier she isnt concentrating on solo material.
November 14, 201014 yr I love her album as a whole more then any other full Black Eyed Peas album. Not to say BEP doesn't have some f***ing amazing songs...
July 13, 201113 yr She really needs to go solo again. The new BEP stuff has been rubbish (except for Just Can't Get Enough). She has a great voice and it is being wasted. Will.I.am is destroying the BEP with his huge ego. People need to be reminded of just how talented Fergie is.
July 13, 201113 yr I agree, the new BEP stuff is rubbish, but Fergie's solo stuff was GOD AWFUL as well. Only Big Girls Don't Cry was good but that's dated already. So I hope she will spare me the misery and won't release a solo album now that BEP is on a hiatus.
July 13, 201113 yr Author I think she could well change her mind now the peas are taking a break. The beginning certainly isnt their best album but i like it and i have loved all the singles from it.
