October 10, 201212 yr Author She is incredible. The band was incredible. The gig experience wasn't what I expected. I should have known by the seats, but I wanted to dance and feel like I was part of the gig.
October 10, 201212 yr Author The poor guy she hit with her mic stand! OH I TOUCHED HER. An Asian guy next to me was an amazing dancer.
October 10, 201212 yr you touched her?!?! pavel finds nothing left to LIVE FOR non-shocker~ so now all that's left is the MAJOR BUZZJACK MEETUP ON YOU GO CHILDREN x
October 10, 201212 yr I'm already home and half in bed, sorry lewlew. Jake spotted me though appaz! Super stuff it was, there wasn't too much of the visual stuff going on as she only brought out the furry cape and the light-up box about halfway through. But I liked that cause it meant it was all about the SONGS. 'kill' was amazing, 'sever' and 'y' were gorgeous and really highlighted how strong her vocals are, and 'goods' was an epic way to end (before an encore anyway). Wish I'd had the guts to get up and dance but I was flying solo and no one around me stood up /lame. It should've been in a standing venue anyway! Totes lulzed when she hit a photographer with her mic stand, it probably wasn't on purpose but it looked like it at first!
October 10, 201212 yr i would've wanted to dance too but i don't think doin the DUTTY WINE to 'goods' would've been appropriate [/worst dancer ever]
October 11, 201212 yr I actually work on the fifth floor. I hope I die instantly when I JUMP OUT OF THE WINDOW (looking at it). I would've danced my ass off and I wouldn't even CARE. Are you sure that guy was 'poor'? Because it'd be quite an HONOUR to be hit by a mic stand by Jonna Lee.
October 11, 201212 yr "iamamiwhoami is live in session with Lauren Laverne on BBC Radio 6 Music next Thursday 10:00. Duration: 3 hours" :D 01 'kill' 02 'play' 03 'idle talk' 04 'goods' 05 'sever' 06 'good worker' 07 'rascal' 08 'in due order' 09 'drops' http://www.bbc.co.uk/radio/player/b01n6ykt Starting from 2:06:30. THAT ACCENT.
October 11, 201212 yr I actually JUST realised I like iamamiwhoami more than Bloc Party now. Cannot believe I said that but it's true. Never ever looned for anyone like that before. Imagine me actually going to their live gig someday. Seriously starting to save money to go the concert somewhere abroad. Who needs food anyway?!
October 11, 201212 yr Last night was definitely my favourite concert ever, the only negatives being that it was seated and the super strict security guards kept getting in the way. Jonna was as amazing as expected, but I didn't realise she was so small! The band were immense and I was very impressed with how Jonna and her backing vocalist managed to create the same vocal effects together on stage as the studio versions, something which I thought wouldn't have been possible for a relatively small concert. Who was the man at the start? I actually really liked his version of n, but at the time I was worried that something had happened and that he was some sort of replacement for Jonna  . The lighting was fantastic, particularly during play and goods and the clump monster in the lightbox was also a very nice touch, as was Jonna recreating her dance from the sever video. I'm really happy that they performed all the major songs and I nearly cried when idle talk started such is the beauty of the music, that would have been embarrassing . The stripped down version of o was wonderful and I love how the crowd just decided to go wild during goods, you could tell that everybody there had been waiting a long time for that moment. Jonna knocking the mic-stand into that photographer was actually hilarious! I'd be interested to see the pictures they took though and also what the press who were present there thought of it all. Maybe the show and concept was lost on them, but clearly from the crowd's reaction the fans absolutely loved it! I tried to get a few pics while the security guards weren't looking but I don't think any of them are that good, it was a shame there seemed to be a blanket ban on all types of photography, filming I can understand but where's the harm in people wanting to take a few good pictures? :( It was a shame we all seemed to miss each other too, I arrived at about 8 so was quite late to the party (I couldn't believe how many people had turned up for the screening of kin! :o ) and lost signal in the auditorium so couldn't figure out where people were sat via Twitter :(. Judging by my feed afterwards you all had a great time though so that's good! If it happens again (I really hope so!) maybe we should arrange to meet somewhere specific beforehand rather than just hoping we might stumble across each other .
October 11, 201212 yr I nearly cried when idle talk started such is the beauty of the music I_i3hJMuZOc Well I actually did. (partly becase I missed it too)
October 11, 201212 yr I'm getting goosebumps just listening back to it. If only they'd filmed the concert properly for a DVD release :(
October 11, 201212 yr I imagine myself crying and smiling while lip-syncing to one of their songs on a live gig with Jonna going into the crowd and noticing me. I would probably just die I DUNNO. (This thing I'm doing is CERTAINLY not healthy :D )
October 11, 201212 yr Who was the man at the start? I actually really liked his version of n, but at the time I was worried that something had happened and that he was some sort of replacement for Jonna  . Apparently it was this guy: QnfjQ4b2JgM If it happens again (I really hope so!) maybe we should arrange to meet somewhere specific beforehand rather than just hoping we might stumble across each other . Pencilling this is for Loreen's first UK show (IT BETTER HAPPEN)
October 11, 201212 yr Oh wow, how wonderful of them to allow a fan to perform at their show! I love his cover and the cat is a very nice touch too  A Loreen UK show simply MUST happen!
October 11, 201212 yr Another thing, I wish I'd thought of making a tin foil crown too! Those girls in the same row as me were amazing, fair play to them on deciding to be the first to get up and dance!
October 11, 201212 yr Oh wow, how wonderful of them to allow a fan to perform at their show! I love his cover and the cat is a very nice touch too  A Loreen UK show simply MUST happen! Wasn't that guy who was in the 'In Concert' event also a regular fan? But this is different being actually on stage and everything <3
October 11, 201212 yr That's true, but they needed that fan as a "volunteer" to help with the storyline of that concert, whereas last night they had nothing to lose or gain from having that guy there performing, it was just a really nice gesture!
