They were gone in just over a second! Look at the angry customer comments. I'd say they only had about a hundred copies or so anyway so no impact on the chart. Just further hype for the album I suppose.

I didn't realise it was going to be so limited. I don't think I could be bothered with it all tbh unless there's something I really, really, desperately want.

Just watch! If Take That do have another week of very good sales ... the amount of people on BJ who'll say it was all down to the Amazon deal ... when there couldn't have been more than a hundred or so copies going for that £1 offer!

I was watching and watching all day and could see no new albums for £1, thats my christmas savings plan gone down to the tube!!!
From what I've heard most of the deals aren't even that great, and the best ones are blink-and-you'll-miss-them. Plus you're obviously gonna get a load of people just buying cheap stuff to then sell for a higher price on ebay, and idiots (who all seem to be on Digital Spy) buying any old crap they don't really want or need. Whole thing seems like a waste of time to me.
Its top 10 almost all over Europe on Itunes... must be a very good sign!!!!!!!!

They are performing on December 10th in Ireland on the Late Late Show (usally the most watched show in the country) so that will either keep them at number 1 or or return them to number 1, everytime they have performed on the late late show in the past and done an interview they have gone number 1.

Am really looking forward to it. Am wondering if Westlife will go number 1 this week as they usually do? If that happens then TT will definately go back to No 1 after they are in The Late Late. Did you see it mentioned in the paper that TT will do an interview and perform and then Robbie will do a solo song aswell? I don't think that this could be right?? I hope not anyway!

I just read it on RTE 1 telextext about them on the late show, it said interview and performance but it said nothing about robbie performing solo, is this robbie's first time on the late late show as i have mo memory of him been on it before?

123,200 are the sles so far for this wee, so it should easily pass 200,000 in total this week. I dont think progress will manage selling 1 million plus in 18 days like the circus managed.

Media traffic have stated that Progress has sold over 500k worldwide (outside UK). This combined with the UK sales takes Progress to over 1 million sales in the first week. Progress is top of the global charts with the highest first week sales of any album worldwide in 2010

for TT for the first time after Robbie's leaving

#1 Denmark

#1 Germany

#1 Switzerland

#1 Netherlands

500,000 outside the Uk is brilliant news for debut week.

First of all, they are not number one in Netherlands yet(unfortunately), secondary- wtf are you talking about?Take That were always big in those countries with or without Robbie. I am sick and tied of all those RW, Oasis whatever fans who can't deal with how successful TT have become. Get over it already.

I don't think that it will either. TC was realeased closer to Xmas so benefitted from the higher Xmas sales. Am pretty sure that it will do it by the end of the year though. Knew that WL would be number 1 this week - Progress has a very good chance of going back there though after next Friday.

To be fair ... they were big in those countries back in the nineties ... but Rob was with them back then wasn't he? As a four-piece (apart from Patience as a single, and Beautiful World having moderate succes album-wise) they have NOT been successful in Europe. I think Ophelia was right in her post.

I also think that this five-piece is a genuine group effort ... however it would be silly for people to not jump to the assumption that their success this time (in Europe that is) is down to Rob's fame as a solo performer. If this album was EXACTLY the same ... with just Gary, Mark, Howard and Jason ... they wouldn't even be given airtime. By the same token ... if Rob alone had released this album by himself ... it would only achieve a fraction of the UK sales it has done. In Europe however ... it would still be a mega-hit!

Its a good album and deserves to be heard ... but its success in Europe is quite largely due to Robbie's name being attached to it.
