November 19, 201014 yr What if like me you don't know how to download? Then I guess it would be in your (financial) interest to learn. Its extremely simple with many sites available who will walk you through the few steps required to do it. Also sites like this where ppl will gladly explain. As I said I'm not a huge fan of downloading particularly for deluxes as that seems sort of ironic to me, but it does have its advantages, and in that situation will save u money
November 19, 201014 yr I'm Gay, & I thought that Primark was a brand of tinned Ham, and Diesel was a type of Petrol! :D I was not being serious, naturally. However, I think the same principal applies to music as it does to clothes. People always spend to their means and I personally do not object to spending more on a deluxe edition if the packaging is suitably more robust and I can see how it adds to the overall experience of the purchase. I don't expect many to agree with me but I definitely do appreciate nicer artwork and value it just like I value the quality of the music itself.
November 23, 201014 yr What I really don't get is that in the old days acts used to release whole new albums rather than endlessly repackage and rerelease the same old album to reflect the latest singles sucesses. It's like Walt Disney's original idea for Fanatasia where he intended to occasionally change one or two of the animated tracks at a time and keep the film constantly at the box office, only the budget cuts due to WWII stopped him. If someone releases then rereleases then rereleases again then the total extra tracks could easily have made a whole new album surely? And I happen to wear mostly Primark clothing and they're just as good as any other clothing retailer at a fraction of the cost so why pay more? I think the only album I ever bought in more than one version was Coco by Colbie Caillat. I got the original when HMV finally got it in stock and paid abt £12 IIRC, about a year later I saw the Special Edition with a few extra tracks for abt £3 in Asda so I bought that as well and then when I first took up downloading earlier this year I downloaded the Summer Sessions version for abt 2 or 3 quid from Amazon. I don't think I'd buy any other deluxe or special versions though except perhaps if there was one of Danger Days by MCR (not sure yet though as it's only out today (well yesterday technically as were past midnight...).
November 24, 201014 yr I don't think I'd buy any other deluxe or special versions though except perhaps if there was one of Danger Days by MCR (not sure yet though as it's only out today (well yesterday technically as were past midnight...). You haven't seen the 4 deluxe versions each with a different coloured bandana?? A "bargain" £19 in HMV!
November 28, 201014 yr Oh yeah I forgot abt them. I think you can get all four in a boxset for abt £50 (or dollars?). And I remembered that I have got the Black Parade Is Dead (Live CD + Live DVD) which I guess counts as a deluxe version of The Black Parade.
