06 - I love it! :lol: It was one of about 5 decent songs I found from listening to the seemingly endless stream of potential Swiss Eurovision entries. The Fannie Luescher and Auf Hi'Dee entries in my chart are two of the five also. None of them made it through to the final though :cry:

10 - Agreed, this is a divine cover. At first I was worried when I heard she'd covered Elton John, but it works brilliantly, and is perfect for the time of year too :wub:

06 - Sometimes Eurovision entries grow on me, but at the moment Switzerland is a definite DNQ going by the final lineup. I'm hoping the song they eventually choose might get a massive overhaul like Anjeza Shahini in 2004 - the original version of The Image Of You was so dull but the ESC version was magnificent. I totally agree though that the past few Swiss entries have been great.

10 - I agree, Lady Gaga has had a massive influence on music. I wonder if the trend will continue into 2011 :unsure:

40 - I can't see much point in them bothering unless the album starts to climb high up the charts, but if they do, Illuminated is the best bet.

:wub: Interesting how this rocketed 60-14-4 for you. It was instant for me, first time I heard I thought it was ace (the first chorus really sells this song for me) and it's provided Rihanna with 4 weeks at no. 1 so far in my chart. Already that's Rihanna's longest run at the top of my chart ('Umbrella' 3 wks, 'Rude Boy' 2 wks, 'Love The Way You Lie' 1 wk).

It looks like Ellie is going to score her biggest hit in my chart with her Elton John cover. When I wrote my chart two weeks agi I wasn't aware of this track at all so it's rocketed straight into no. 7 in my personal chart without even making the Pre-Release chart. Has a good chance of climbing higher too.

 

11 (25) Take That ~ The Flood ~ 2 [25-11]

 

Big climb for 'The Flood'. ^_^ Easily their finest moment since 'Rule The World'. I thought the singles from 'The Circus' were sub standard efforts imo. From the preview clips on iTunes, I'm surprised at the style changes throughout the album. There seem to be a good 6/7 decent songs there.

01 - :lol:, well when I first the title I thought exactly the same. It isn't a cover but it is a similar style of music - it's more Abba than Steps though.

04 - I was quite surprised at how well it did, I was expecting it to completely flop but I'm glad she had success with it.

05 - It entered at number 60 based on one listen, then rocketed following the X Factor performance. His best single since Disturbia easily imo.

07 - This got my maximum score, I think I was one of the only people who discovered the song from Unknown Pleasures though judging by the comments it got. Can't say I'm very keen on his new single sadly. I hope Neo is one of the three in your pre-release chart :P

10 - It did seem to come about really quickly. It doesn't seem that long ago that everyone was saying Bright Lights might have been shelved. I'm really looking forward to hearing the new songs :D

11 - I quite liked Said It All. The Flood took it's time to grow on me but I rather like it now. As I said above to Rich, I was stunned when I heard one of the album tracks in a shop and googled the lyrics to find out it was a Take That song - I've ordered the album as a result!

23 - It does, and it might even reclimb thanks to a "Best Of The Nordics" Eurovision compilation I bought this week :wub:

35 - It's lingering around the same spot in my chart, maybe when I get the single it'll reach a higher peak. I'm finding it hard to get into this song.

39 - Not sure, it's been entered into the BJUSC though (You should enter that contest!) hence why it's charting with me. It has the exact same melody as a Bucks Fizz album track to my ears though.

40 - It's entered low mainly due to me not having enough time to listen to the song and a bizarre mess up by HMV whilst delivering the single.

50 - :lol:, it's a catchy tune which is why it's lasted longer than most of the other ESC songs but I think this could be it's final week.
