Would love for him to sing too :( but this looks like Bedlam promo.

Could be worse, I don't mind The Script, better musical guest than one of Cowell's acts.

Well hopefully we might get some more info on the new album

Helen's report from the show last night.

Looks like I'm the only one on here who went, then - I got tickets last minute and it was 'such fun' (as Miranda would say). Got to write this quickly and emoticon-free as I'm at work pretending to email, so I'll cut to the chase.

Will was his usual lovely, charming, funny self. Slight stubble, no glasses, black baggyish trousers, black roll-neck top. Loads of cheers and whooping when he came on (doing a little jig).

I can't remember the order of conversation but he and Ruth were chatting for a good 20mins. Sorry if I should know any of this but he said that the next album's out in May/June and it's got an upbeat 80s feel, that he's in training for the marathon in aid of Catch 22 (he looked very slender) and that he's off trekking in Africa soon. 'Well when I say trekking I mean driving, when I say driving I mean being chauffer-driven…'. He recounted a moment on his last visit to Africa when his friend got attacked by a baboon and she'd thought it was him. The baboon may have stolen her camera, and he likes to think that there are photos of the baboon having fun out there.

He spoke a bit about family Christmases and the fact that they all love each other but separate soon after lunch to go and watch EastEnders in different rooms. He turns into a stroppy teenager, and a comment from Emma for example like 'someone's looking older' can p*** him off for a good few hours. Not sure if I should know this or not but when they were in their teens Rupert shot him with a pelet gun (?) when he was out playing basketball too enthusiastically one morning.

X-Factor - his favourite bit is seeing what Cheryl and Danni are wearing BUT it's annoying that we never get a full-length shot of them as shoes are vitally important to an outfit.

Ooh Bedlam - they showed a clip but I couldn't see properly as Ruth was in the way. Sounded like he plays a posh geek though.

They talked a bit about acting and Ruth made him act out some emotions like 'happy', 'scared', 'waiting for the bus' etc. There was a running gag that Miranda was stalking him so one of the scenarios was 'bus has just gone, there's another one coming, but Miranda's driving'. Hard to explain but really funny.

At the end of his bit he and Ruth sang a duet - Last Christmas - and Miranda stormed the stage wearing a top with 'Someone Special' on it and brandishing mistletoe. Cue her and Ruth fighting over who gets to sing with Will.

That was all really! It was lovely to see him having a laugh with Miranda off-camera - they were so sweet together.

Thanks TT - I was just coming over to post it. Good to see him confirm the album date again.

I did wonder if he was going to the do the Brighton Marathon after he retweeted their promo.

Looking forward to this and only two weeks to wait

Thanks TT
