Posted November 27, 201014 yr njeofv4dr9Q Made on under half a million dollars, a lot of improvised acting, and all CGI and special effects added in afterwards using software you can buy (i.e things like Adobe After Effects, not full on Hollywood special effects stuff), so i'm pretty impressed by that. out December 3rd in the UK.
November 28, 201014 yr Looking forward to this, even if it does just look like a low budget 'Cloverfield'.
November 28, 201014 yr Author Looking forward to this, even if it does just look like a low budget 'Cloverfield'. i was reading an interview with the director yesterday, and he actually mentioned he was going to do it all handheld camera shots and then when the Cloverfield trailer came out he was like 'well, can't do that now'.
November 29, 201014 yr I think it's just been marketed in a similar vain to Cloverfield to try and get bums on seats where as in reality, from what I've been hearing/reading, it will be nothing like it. Here is the Empire review; http://www.empireonline.com/reviews/review.asp?FID=136887
December 3, 201014 yr I absolutely loved this. It's not really like Cloverfield and if you're looking for a monster movie forget it. It's basically a character driven story with a political and social message alongside it. If you want monster they get about 3 minutes of screen time. Beautifully shot though
December 5, 201014 yr Yeah stunning movie, more of a love story than anything else I'd say. The chemistry between the two leads is so believable too ... works really well and it's beautifully shot. The whole 'monsters' thing is just a backdrop really and helps the plot along I'd say.

Plus the complete lack of a script really adds to the quality of the dialogues delivery and believability
December 8, 201014 yr Author Just saw this, thought it was really good, British film funded by the UK film council greatness, good films like this really p*** me off the Government are axing the UK film council. Great acting, definatly impressed by the Special effects considering it was all done on off the shelf software. shows you don't need to spend £500million to make a great looking movie.
