Slipknot's Corey Taylor is to go up against this year's The X Factor winner by releasing a Christmas single.

His song, called 'X-M@$', is released on December 12 and will raise money for the Teenage Cancer Trust.

Writing about the song on the social networking site, Taylor wrote: "This is the season of goodwill. SCREW X Factor and everyone else going for the No1. Am i right?"

..And this one's got feck-all to do with Sony, so, even better......

there is the John Cage - 4"33 campaign thats been going a bit, which is now being re-recorded for the christmas week featuring a load of famous musicians such as Billy Bragg, would be amazing to have actual silence over the x factor as number 1.

I want this as Christmas Number 1 rather than that X-Factor tripe.
