Hi all. A little early? Maybe. But I can't think of there being a song that I'll like enough, that I haven't heard already for it to chart in my YE chart. (Keri will be 2011 in my album chart ya'll!)So I thought may as well go for it!

So please follow this chart along. Most of these are based on how well they did in my chart, as well as a mix of how I feel about them now... This is my chart, so don't be surprised if a song which reached number 1 and spent a good 14/15 weeks in my chart overall, ends up at number 87 or something :kink:

So I'll get started on this ASAP/when i'm fully convinced on my top 100/top 40! :D

Just a couple of things before I start. My top 40 are all truly amazing (to me :P) and would be top 10 in recent years. But 2010 is so much stronger than I remember it being! :( Also, I guess a few of you may be expecting a "Glee-vasion" of some sort. That is NOT the case. There will only be one track ('Don't Stop Believin'') in this countdown and that's because it was sort of pushed as a single. The rest of the tracks that entered my chart were like "cherry picks". But if you're interested in seeing what Glee songs are my favourites, I will be counting down my favourite 40 sometime soon in the GLEE FORUM :cheer:

Let's kick this off!

Numbers 100-91:

100. M.I.A. 'XXXO' [22-21-21-21-20-26-39] (7 Weeks)

099. The King Blues 'Holiday' [17-13-14-11-23-34] (6 Weeks)

098. Fugative 'Bad Girl' [24-24-22-26-35-40] (6 Weeks)

097. Basshunter 'Saturday' [19-9-7-6-9-13-25-31-36] (9 Weeks)

096. Taio Cruz feat. Ke$ha 'Dirty Picture' [15-24-37-X-21-21-19-32] (7 Weeks)

095. Selena Gomez & The Scene 'Round & Round' [23-20-19-23-28-30-34-37-40] (9 Weeks)

094. Shayne Ward 'Gotta Be Somebody' [28-23-20-18-23-31-39] (7 Weeks) *STILL CHARTING*

093. Gabriella Cilmi 'Defender' [35-37-39-36-37-31-35-39] (8 Weeks)

092. Alicia Keys 'Wait 'Til You See My Smile' [19-15-11-10-20] (5 Weeks) *STILL CHARTING*

091. Travie McCoy feat. Bruno Mars 'Billionaire' [37-33-20-17-18-21-30-32-38] (9 Weeks)

Kick starting the countdown is a "career best" (not that that's particularly hard) from M.I.A.. The King Blues & Fugative enter with the first of TWO entries from each artist in my countdown this year. Basshunter's good at the time, but in comparison to past material is actually quite weak, track 'Saturday' is at 97. 'Dirty Picture' from Taio Cruz and Ke$ha is next. Really like this song still, but the radio edit completely killed it. Selena's going 'Round & Round' at 95. Shayne's comeback, which deserved better in the official charts, charts in my EOY countdown. The beautiful, but not single worthy 'Defender' is at 93. Alicia Keys' newy is at 92. Travie featuring Bruno (who has one or two more entries to come) finish off this section.

100. M.I.A. 'XXXO' [22-21-21-21-20-26-39] (7 Weeks)

096. Taio Cruz feat. Ke$ha 'Dirty Picture' [15-24-37-X-21-21-19-32] (7 Weeks)

092. Alicia Keys 'Wait 'Til You See My Smile' [19-15-11-10-20] (5 Weeks) *STILL CHARTING*

Kick starting the countdown is a "career best" (not that that's particularly hard) from M.I.A..

OUCH! :(

Haha, good to see you charting 'XXXO' here though!

Fairly good start so far, my favourite Alicia song (at least from 'The Element of Freedom') in there too. Stunning song.

Shame that they'll be no Glee invasion. I was planning on doing a top 100 of 2010, but I think I'll extend to a top 120 or 150, just to include all the Glee tracks I want to include.

As for the tracks I've heard & like from the first lot:

097. Basshunter 'Saturday' [19-9-7-6-9-13-25-31-36] (9 Weeks)

096. Taio Cruz feat. Ke$ha 'Dirty Picture' [15-24-37-X-21-21-19-32] (7 Weeks)

095. Selena Gomez & The Scene 'Round & Round' [23-20-19-23-28-30-34-37-40] (9 Weeks)

094. Shayne Ward 'Gotta Be Somebody' [28-23-20-18-23-31-39] (7 Weeks) *STILL CHARTING*

091. Travie McCoy feat. Bruno Mars 'Billionaire' [37-33-20-17-18-21-30-32-38] (9 Weeks)

Will reply to comments and stuff as I go along. Sorry if I don't reply straight away :P

Time for the albums! Albums have generally been either AMAZING or I couldn't care less whether I hear them again or not...

Numbers 40-36:

http://i53.tinypic.com/1628lmh.jpghttp://i51.tinypic.com/67v3on.jpghttp://i51.tinypic.com/wb76m0.jpg

040. The Wanted 'The Wanted' [6-9] (2 Weeks)

Best Track; 'Lose My Mind'

039. Nicki Minaj 'Pink Friday' [6] (1 Week) *STILL CHARTING*

Best Track; 'Fly (featuring. Rihanna)'

038. Kid Sister 'Ultraviolet' [9-11-15] (3 Weeks)

Best Track; 'Daydreamin' (featuring. Cee-Lo)'

037. Mumford & Sons 'Sigh No More' [9-X-7-10-10] (4 Weeks)

Best Track; 'Little Lion Man'

036. Pixie Lott 'Turn It Up: Louder' [6-9-10-10] (4 Weeks)

Best Track; 'Coming Home (featuring. Jason DeRülo)'

Kicking off the albums is the debut album from The Wanted. It's good and better than JLS' new one, however, I don't get the urge to listen to it again... Nicki Minaj only entered my chart this week, so she seems relatively low, but considering I hated her before I heard the album its not bad going. Kid Sister enters at 38, with Mumford & Sons critically acclaimed album at 37 and the re-release of a 2009 album gets Pixie another EOY top 40, album positioning.

Hey Jon! :D From the singles, I like:

098. Fugative 'Bad Girl' [24-24-22-26-35-40] (6 Weeks) LMAO! As if anyone but myself knew anything of this song - let alone you charting it in your top 100!:(

097. Basshunter 'Saturday' [19-9-7-6-9-13-25-31-36] (9 Weeks)

096. Taio Cruz feat. Ke$ha 'Dirty Picture' [15-24-37-X-21-21-19-32] (7 Weeks) I really like all versions of this, so it'll definitely feature highly on my chart - I'm surprised it peaked so low on your weekly chart though! :o

095. Selena Gomez & The Scene 'Round & Round' [23-20-19-23-28-30-34-37-40] (9 Weeks)

094. Shayne Ward 'Gotta Be Somebody' [28-23-20-18-23-31-39] (7 Weeks) *STILL CHARTING*

093. Gabriella Cilmi 'Defender' [35-37-39-36-37-31-35-39] (8 Weeks)

092. Alicia Keys 'Wait 'Til You See My Smile' [19-15-11-10-20] (5 Weeks) *STILL CHARTING*

091. Travie McCoy feat. Bruno Mars 'Billionaire' [37-33-20-17-18-21-30-32-38] (9 Weeks)

Brilliant set of songs there! :D Now for the albums:

040. The Wanted 'The Wanted' [6-9] (2 Weeks) Love this, and I'm glad to see it in your top 40; but your comment seems a bit weird seeing as it's this high!

039. Nicki Minaj 'Pink Friday' [6] (1 Week) *STILL CHARTING* I've D/L'ed this, but not fully listened yet. I'm hoping I'll enjoy it, though, as I do like a lot of the songs I've heard her featured on this year. :)

038. Kid Sister 'Ultraviolet' [9-11-15] (3 Weeks)

036. Pixie Lott 'Turn It Up: Louder' [6-9-10-10] (4 Weeks)

Good in both! :D Shall look forward to seeing the rest. ^_^

094. Shayne Ward 'Gotta Be Somebody' [28-23-20-18-23-31-39] (7 Weeks) *STILL CHARTING*

093. Gabriella Cilmi 'Defender' [35-37-39-36-37-31-35-39] (8 Weeks)

091. Travie McCoy feat. Bruno Mars 'Billionaire' [37-33-20-17-18-21-30-32-38] (9 Weeks)

Brill so far :D

100. M.I.A. 'XXXO' [22-21-21-21-20-26-39] (7 Weeks)

okay song, very commercial for her standards

097. Basshunter 'Saturday' [19-9-7-6-9-13-25-31-36] (9 Weeks)

nothing amazing as his hits from 07/08

096. Taio Cruz feat. Ke$ha 'Dirty Picture' [15-24-37-X-21-21-19-32] (7 Weeks)

love taio, not a fan of kesha, ok song

095. Selena Gomez & The Scene 'Round & Round' [23-20-19-23-28-30-34-37-40] (9 Weeks)

naturally >>>>>>>>>>>>>> a year without rain >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> round & round, weak single

094. Shayne Ward 'Gotta Be Somebody' [28-23-20-18-23-31-39] (7 Weeks) *STILL CHARTING*

amazing song, shame it's flopped, his album is very good too

093. Gabriella Cilmi 'Defender' [35-37-39-36-37-31-35-39] (8 Weeks)

nice mid tempo song, another flop in her career :(

092. Alicia Keys 'Wait 'Til You See My Smile' [19-15-11-10-20] (5 Weeks) *STILL CHARTING*

nice ballad, but i prefer more love is blind

091. Travie McCoy feat. Bruno Mars 'Billionaire' [37-33-20-17-18-21-30-32-38] (9 Weeks)

Great urban track, but to much overplayed

--------------------------------------------------------------------

040. The Wanted 'The Wanted' [6-9] (2 Weeks)

Best Track; 'Lose My Mind'

well okay album, still all time low is my fave song

039. Nicki Minaj 'Pink Friday' [6] (1 Week) *STILL CHARTING*

Best Track; 'Fly (featuring. Rihanna)'

fantastic album, so many GREAT tracks there, i'm very surprised how damn good this album is

036. Pixie Lott 'Turn It Up: Louder' [6-9-10-10] (4 Weeks)

Best Track; 'Coming Home (featuring. Jason DeRülo)'

definitely agree about best track, that song screaming for single release

Great to see this up Jonjo, always a good read - especially as even if a song peaks low for you, it's rectified in the end of year chart if you love it enough - and vice versa if you've gone off it! Look forward to seeing the top ten, although I think I can guess the top 2!

Apart from 'Paper Planes', everything else I've heard from M.I.A. has been truly vile. Particularly 'Jimmy'! :puke: Yeah, I love the Alicia track, it should keep selling the album, however I'm not sure whether it works as a single release...

Shame that they'll be no Glee invasion. I was planning on doing a top 100 of 2010, but I think I'll extend to a top 120 or 150, just to include all the Glee tracks I want to include.
Oooh! Will deifnitely check out your EOY chart then. Hope you have good taste in Glee :kink:

098. I did like it a lot back when it was released. Although it did get old a bit too fast. Compared to 'Crush'

096. The first three weeks was from when the album leaked (should have stuck around a bit longer then as I was hammering it at that point) then the single release came and ruined everything :(

040. It's not weird as I only had like 15 other album contenders :\ Albums have been truly dire/unappealing this year. Hopefully it'll be slightly stronger next year.

039. You should. I thought I didn't like her until I heard 'Fly' and 'Girls Fall Like Dominoes' (oh and 'Massive Attack', which isn't even on the album ) but I do like it quite a bit. Particularly 'Dear Old Nicki'

Hey Jon :) My faves

Yup. We've briefly touched on this before a couple of months ago, where songs which peak too low, will get a decent enough position in the year end if it's strong enough. Hope you'll continue commenting :P

081. The Script 'Nothing' [15-13-10-12-13-14-28] (7 Weeks) *STILL CHARTING*

This section is a bit odd. They seem to have done well, but are definitions of "got boring, fast", bar 'Turn It Up', which has mostly suffered due to it being the FIFTH single release, when it really should have followed 'Boys & Girls' or 'Cry Me Out' :manson:. Buzzjack police, please don't arrest me for having two Katy songs so low! (Could it be THREE?! :o) 'California Gurls', I just couldn't care any less whether I heard it again or not. It's alright, just not the original "OMFG! ONE OF THE BEST SONGS EVA!!1!!1" feeling I thought it was going to be. 'Firework' has never been a highlight from the album for me, although it is a nice song. The video . Enrique's surprisingly big hit is at 84. Rihanna's 'Rude Boy' stalls at 83 (another buzzjack favourite I know :manson:) but at the time I was buying the hype, not so much anymore as it really isn't THAT good... 'Pack Up' is lovely, just a tad overplayed now. The Script's 'Nothing' is annoying me a little now (hence it's 14 place drop this week for me), although it's still a nice song.

Looks like you got bored pretty quickly with "Pack Up" :o

090. Pixie Lott 'Broken Arrow' [30-29-32-39-38-23-22-26-34] (9 Weeks)

089. Pixie Lott 'Turn It Up' [20-16-15-13-10-18-28-37] (8 Weeks) My favourite Pixie single. Don't know why they waited to 5th, given how rubbish the 1st single was

088. Justin Bieber feat. Ludacris 'Baby' [5-8-10-16-22-26-40] (7 Weeks) Someone else on BJ that doesn't hate this :o

087. McFly 'Party Girl' [32-16-15-18-22-21-24-22-20-33] (10 Weeks)

086. Katy Perry feat. Snoop Dogg 'California Gurls' [3-5-6-10-23-30-38] (7 Weeks)

085. Katy Perry 'Firework' [22-19-14-17-22-30] (6 Weeks)

084. Enrique Iglesias feat. Pitbull 'I Like It' [37-16-8-16-28-37] (6 Weeks)

082. Eliza Doolittle 'Pack Up' [25-12-15-23-27-31-36] (7 Weeks)

081. The Script 'Nothing' [15-13-10-12-13-14-28] (7 Weeks) *STILL CHARTING*

As for the albums, I love both 'Pink Friday' & 'The Wanted'.

090. Pixie Lott 'Broken Arrow' [30-29-32-39-38-23-22-26-34] (9 Weeks)

089. Pixie Lott 'Turn It Up' [20-16-15-13-10-18-28-37] (8 Weeks)

086. Katy Perry feat. Snoop Dogg 'California Gurls' [3-5-6-10-23-30-38] (7 Weeks)

085. Katy Perry 'Firework' [22-19-14-17-22-30] (6 Weeks)

083. Rihanna 'Rude Boy' [24-17-11-10-10-8-7-9-10-18-29-39] (12 Weeks)

LOVE. I am a rubbish buzzjack gai and both 'California Gurls' and 'Rude Boy' will probably end up in my YTD Top 10 :(.
