What a year it's been. X-Factor ruled again, as well as GaGa. Really was the year of the female solo artist for me especially. Going to start with the Top 25 albums.

25. MILEY CYRUS - Can't Be Tamed [uK Chart Peak - 8]

http://i54.tinypic.com/x441eu.png

Highlights: Liberty Walk should have been the lead song, it's just sublime. Other faves are Can't Be Tamed and Robot.

Low point: Every Rose Has It's Thorn. Bleurgh.

24. BLACK EYED PEAS - The Beginning [uK Chart Peak - ]

http://i52.tinypic.com/2zgt1kk.jpg

Highlights: Well let's face it, this album is a disappointment. However, Someday, The Best One Yet (The Boy) and Just Can't Get Enough are decent tracks.

Low point: Do It Like This or Don't Stop The Party. Will.I.Am needs to understand quality control, these songs go on FOREVER.

23. KATE NASH - My Best Friend Is You [uK Chart Peak - 8]

http://i54.tinypic.com/xkn1nc.png

Highlights: Whilst nowhere as good as her debut, this album deserved more attention! Do Wah Doo, Paris and I Just Love You More.

Low points: Mansion Song. Frankly embarrassing.

22. NADINE - Insatiable [uK Chart Peak - 47]

http://i54.tinypic.com/34xqcdx.jpg

Highlights: Poor poor Nuhdeen. The album is quite good, but she just does not have the media personality. Runnin, Red Light and Insatiable.

Low Point: Unbroken. Ballad by numbers.

21. ELLIE GOULDING - Lights [uK Chart Peak - 1]

http://i54.tinypic.com/5x955f.jpg

Highlights: Under The Sheets, the number one that never was. Also, This Love (Will Be Your Downfall), Starry Eyed and Lights.

Low Point: Salt Skin.

20. CHERYL COLE - Messy Little Raindrops [uK Chart Peak - 1]

http://i51.tinypic.com/hv4hky.jpg

Highlights: Such an average album, helped by a couple of amazing pop songs such as Promise This, Everyone and Waiting.

Low Point. Happy Tears. Awful.

19. ALESHA - The Entertainer [uK Chart Peak - 84]

http://i54.tinypic.com/15g2neu.jpg

Highlights: Surprisingly good, but it seems like nobody gave it a chance. Radio, Every Part Of Me and Baddest Chick.

Low Point: Drummer Boy. Worst single choice ever.

18. DIANA VICKERS - Songs From The Tainted Cherry Tree [uK Chart Peak - 1]

http://i51.tinypic.com/16lxr3c.jpg

Highlights: Most credible X-Factor album. Once, Remake Me & You, My Hip.

Low Point: Four Leaf Clover.

17. KYLIE MINOGUE - Aphrodite [uK Chart Peak - 1]

http://i55.tinypic.com/4vo2n5.jpg

Highlights: Much more cohesive than X, but apart from Get Outta My Way, Cupid Boy & Aphrodite, it's a little boring.

Low Point: Everything Is Beautiful

16. THE SATURDAYS - Headlines [uK Chart Peak - 3]

http://i54.tinypic.com/10onrec.jpg

Highlights: While this is only an EP, it's of a much better quality than Wordshaker. Missing You, Higher & Karma.

Low Point: Forever Is Over. Still their worst single by a long shot.

Low point: Snap

14. MY CHEMICAL ROMANCE - Danger Days: The True Lives Of The Fabulous Killjoys [uK Peak - 14]

http://i52.tinypic.com/258uycj.jpg

http://i56.tinypic.com/2ntloph.jpg

Low Point: California King Bed. Snooze alert.

Low Point: Last Change. There was absolutely no need for Natasha Bedingfield.

9. KELIS - Flesh Tones [uK Peak - 46]

http://i51.tinypic.com/2ldkk9.jpg

Highlights: An almost flawless album that deserved to be a smash. I could listen to Acapella, 4th Of July (Fireworks) and Home forever.

Low Point: Emancipate is the only letdown and it's still a decent song.

8. VAMPIRE WEEKEND - Contra [uK Peak - 3]

http://i51.tinypic.com/2wbuo45.jpg

Highlights: A fun-filled sophomore album, I love Cousins, Giving Up The Gun and Holiday. Good single choices!

7. I BLAME COCO - The Constant [uK Peak - 86]

http://i56.tinypic.com/2ytxrw5.jpg

http://i51.tinypic.com/2076t6e.jpg

2. KATY PERRY - Teenage Dream [uK Peak - 1]

http://i54.tinypic.com/6fnz2f.jpg

http://i55.tinypic.com/28bxv6w.jpg

Highlight: Wow. I saw her at Leeds Festival 2009 but I did not expect to love her this much. A Flawless album. Hollywood, Obsessions, I Am Not A Robot, Oh No and Girls are perfection.

And so on to the top 100 singles...

100. VAMPIRE WEEKEND - Giving Up The Gun [My Chart Peak - 8] [uK Chart Peak - 172]

What a way to start, brilliant jaunty indie-pop from possibly my favourite band.

99. LABRINTH - Let The Sun Shine [My Chart Peak - 6] [uK Peak - 3]

It still remains to be seen whether Labrinth will be a one-hit wonder, but this song is catchy enough.

98. GLEE CAST - Halo/Walking On Sunshine [My Chart Peak - 7] [uK Peak - 9]

The only Glee song that's ever charted, really love the mash up.

97. EDWARD MAYA ft VIKA JIGULINA - Stereo Love [My Chart Peak - 7] [uK Peak - 4]

One of my favourite dance songs this year, just because of that haunting accordion.

96. GOLDFRAPP - Rocket [My Chart Peak - 12] [uK Peak - 47]

I'm a bit surprised to see this here. I rarely listen to it now.

95. 3OH!3 ft KE$HA - My First Kiss [My Chart Peak - 15] [uK Peak - 7]

Still as annoying as ever, looks like the charm is wearing off for 3Oh!3.

94. KELE - Tenderoni [My Chart Peak - 8] [uK Peak - 31]

Did not expect his album to be so poppy, and this is most definitely the stand out.

93. I BLAME COCO ft ROBYN - Caesar [My Chart Peak - 6]

One of my favourite discoverys this year, I just don't understand why she doesn't have commercial success!

92. ELLIE GOULDING - Guns & Horses [My Chart Peak - 14] [uK Peak - 26]

First entry for Ellie, this was criminally overlooked.

91. BLACK EYED PEAS - Rock That Body [My Chart Peak - 11] [uK Peak - 11]

God knows why this is here, I actually can't bear to listen to it anymore.

90. ROBYN - Hang With Me [My Chart Peak - 8] [uK Peak - 54]

My least favourite of her releases this year, it's still a decent slice of classy pop.

89. RIHANNA ft DRAKE - What's My Name [My Chart Peak - 1] [uK Peak - 2]

The beginning of Rihanna's chart domination. The fact that the song is so new and still managed to get on the countdown proves how much of a musical juggernaut she is.

88. B.O.B. ft BRUNO MARS - Nothin' On You [My Chart Peak - 5] [uK Peak - 1]

Yes it's a bit cheesy, but I think it's cute. Rap seems to feature quite heavily this year.

87. HURTS - Stay [My Chart Peak - 6] [uK Peak - 50]

Gloomy pop at it's best, Hurts are a fantastic band.

86. MIKE POSNER - Cooler Than Me [My Chart Peak - 6] [uK Peak - 5]

Infectious and annoying. I'd be surprised if he appeared on next year's chart.

85. KE$HA ft 3OH!3 - Blah Blah Blah [My Chart Peak - 4] [uK Peak - 11]

Her worst single, yet it still managed to chart quite high. I need to see her live!

84. THE DRUMS - Let's Go Surfing [My Chart Peak - 5] [uK Peak - 63]

They were my obsession at the beginning of the year, but because their songs all sound identical, I soon got bored.

83. SELENA GOMEZ & THE SCENE - Naturally [My Chart Peak - 11] [uK Peak - 7]

One of the best "Disney" songs, It's such a good pop song!

Fantastic debut from one of the most promising new rap stars.

I adore Ms Minaj, her raps make this song.

A beautiful version of this song, Ellie deserves all her success.

The most irritating song ever? Yep.

72. M.I.A. - XXXO [My Chart Peak - 10] [uK Peak - 26]

64. MARK RONSON & THE BUSINESS INTL - Bang Bang Bang [My Chart Peak - 2] [uK Peak - 6]
