January 29, 201114 yr She really does deserve the oscar, thank for agreeing. I felt alone. The fact Portman won the golden globe and is the firm favourite gives her no reason to win the oscar at all actually. I stand by that she doesn't deserve the oscar. I will be very annoyed and continue disagree if she does win late next month. Her portrayal is no where near oscar worthy at all. Oscars have in the past given the oscars to actors who didn't win any other awards prior. I hope that is the case. I hope their is a shock. If Natalie Portman doesn't win then it will be Annette Bening who does, although I actually think all three deserve recognition.
February 21, 201114 yr Author When is this out in UK? It came out the same week as The Fighter on the 4th so, 17 days ago. It was barely promoted, and it wasn't shown in my local cinema (how I wish I had a local arthouse!) so you may have missed it.
February 23, 201114 yr I've seen it already but that's ridiculous it was out already and not promoted. I was desperate for loads of people to see this. Amazon have it on pre order for a June DVD release. I will happily lend it out then. How can a film starring a big star like Nicole Kidman go unoticed in the UK. Ridiculous. But no, not a Justin Bieber movie, that gets full coverage, the works.
