Posted December 17, 201014 yr Gary Barlow sprinkles some Christmas magic on CBeebies as he reads the Bedtime Story http://www.bbc.co.uk/pressoffice/pressrele...17/barlow.shtml He's in great company for this (quite an honour). Among the other storytellers are Patrick Stewart (one of my all-time heroes), Derek Jacobi (another hero), David Tennant (well he is the Doctor) and .... KENNETH BRANNAGH! I may borrow a small child from somewhere to watch/listen to this. Kath
December 17, 201014 yr He looks great in that picture, that whole image really suits him. I think he'll be awesome at it! Edited December 17, 201014 yr by Swagger91
December 18, 201014 yr Author He is the image of olly murs in that picture. Val Doonican I think! He will be great at this ... with his best Thomas the Tank Engine voice. Seriously ... I am going to make a point of tuning in to this. Kath Edited December 18, 201014 yr by Kathyp

January 10, 201114 yr I saw this on youtube. I found it very, very, very creepy! Creepy???? How very odd. Many posted on twitter and various forums to say how much they loved it. He was charming. Personal dislike is a bad basis for any sort of review of a person's work, don't you think?
January 12, 201114 yr I recorded this and I still haven't checked it out yet. I completely forgot about it lol.

Personal dislike is a bad basis for any sort of review of a person's work, don't you think? No ... seriously ... anyone who looks at children's tv thinks its a doddle ... it isn't! I've got friends who are in it and its bloody hard. Gary should have taken lessons from David Tennant (watch his one) ... a true connection with the audience (and not just David Tennant fans). I must admit ... Patrick Stewart's was a bit of a disappointment though ... and I absolutely ADORE Patrick Stewart! Gary was just plain boring, creepy ... and that cardigan was a serious fashion offence! He should stick to songwriting with Take That ... because he's not very good acting/presenting. In his defence though ... his performance in Heartbeat wasn't nearly as bad as all the awful reviews he got. Kath
January 12, 201114 yr Author I recorded this and I still haven't checked it out yet. I completely forgot about it lol. I've just watched the David Tennant one (again) he's adorable ... professionalism personified ... and I don't particularly like Tennant (Tom Baker is the only TRUE Dr Who for me!) Kath
