I tried to watch this on YouTube but it was taking ages to load the video. -_- From what I did hear it sounds quite anthemic - especially the piano melody at the start.

You should watch the video though, it's definitely worth a watch. I love the lyrics and all the stuff around it :heart:

A former #1 in my chart and still top 20. Definitely one of the best hits of 2010 imo. ^_^

I agree, at first I hated it, I didn't see the hype around it and now? I can't get enough of it :lol:

 

04. (02) KE$HA We R Who We R - (02-02-04)

 

I doubt Ke$ha will ever have another 'TiK ToK' but this is likely to give Ke$ha her second biggest hit in my chart. Currently it's 'Your Love Is My Drug' whiched peaked at #5 but tailed off after that.

This is her third biggest hit in my chart, after 'Tik Tok' and 'Take It Off'. ^_^

 

05. (06) RIHANNA FEAT. DRAKE What’s My Name? - (01-02-02-05-06-05)

 

Finally entered my chart this week at #8 whilst the almighty 'Only Girl' is still higher up (no. 4 ^_^ ). I still don't see 'WMN' being a big hit in the long run but should stick around for a couple weeks in the top 20.

I just love it as well as I love 'Only Girl', it's catchy and so fresh :wub: It will stay a couple of weeks in my top 10 since it's still climbing back to top 5. Although this love for Rihanna's singles will fall after releasing 'Raining Men' which is mine least favorite song on the album :(

06. (08) BRUNO MARS Grenade - (05-05-08-08-06)

 

Another big 2011 hit and potentially the first big UK #1 of 2011. Bruno Mars has been my dominant force in 2010 with 'Just The Way You Are', 'Nothin' On You' and 'Billionaire' plus he wrote 'Forget You!' which was also a no. 1 hit for me.

'Nothin' On You' and 'Billionaire' unfortunately failed to reach top 10, there were not that big in my chart :( But now Bruno has two singles in my top 10 along with 'his' 'Forget You'. He has so much potential to be international star, hope the year 2011 will be his year! ^_^

07. (07) RIHANNA Only Girl (In This World) - (01-01-02-03-04-04-04-07-07-07)

 

Like I say; almighty!!! :w00t: 5 weeks at no. 1 for me. By far Rihanna's most successful hit in my chart.

I admit that 'Only Girl' is one of her best songs, but still there are some songs which are better - 'Umbrella', 'Disturbia' and so on.

 

09. (10) TAIO CRUZ FEAT. KYLIE MINOGUE & TRAVIE MCCOY Higher - (06-06-09-10-09)

 

Having heard this, it's not quite as strong as I was expecting but it's ok. Personally I think 'Dynamite' and even 'Dirty Picture' are better than this. 'Higher' is slightly better than 'Break Your Heart' imo.

Dynamite -> Dirty Picture -> Higher -> Break You Heart - absolutely agree, even the video is quite boring :drama: I still like it a lot though :wub:

 

10. (09) P!NK Raise Your Glass - (01-02-03-03-06-09-10)

 

Doing really well across Europe and even hit #1 in the US. Odd to think this wasn't that big a hit here in the UK where most artists can go top 10 on name alone!!! :kink: This got to no. 7 for me but dropped down after that.

I don't understand why it wasn't a big hit in the UK, hope her next single will be more successful.

 

11. (11) EMINEM FEAT. RIHANNA Love The Way You Lie - (01-01-01-01-01-01-01-02-02-03-04-05-08-06-05-08-08-11-11-11)

 

Monster hit. By far one of 2010's biggest hits. I'd love this to end 2010 as the UK's biggest selling single without ever hitting the no. 1 spot during its time on the chart.

I hope it will be the UK's biggest selling single, they have impressive chart run and they're still in your official top 40, aren't they? They have to be the best :heart:

Still going strong? :o To think I was charting 'Stereo Love' this time last year when the track peaked at no. 3 then floated around the top 20 well into 2010.

It just doesn't get old, love this and it's still climbing :heart:

When I charted this at no. 1 back in January, I never expected this to become such a massive European hit but it is definitely deserved. A shame the UK seem to snub British acts (successful ones in other countries) in favour of American acts (who aren't particularly great). Go UK!!! :nocheer:

I see that HURTS are quite unsuccessful in the UK :( Europe loves them :heart: They are one of the best 2010's best acts and 'Wonderful Life' is one of the best songs of the 2010 :wub:

 

16. (12) NICOLE SCHERZINGER Poison - (01-02-03-07-07-10-12-16)

 

One of my more recent #1 hits, Nicole has already been no. 1 in my chart with 'Don't Cha' [2005] and 'Jai Ho! (You Are My Destiny' [2009].

The Pussycat Dolls have only one number one single - 'When I Grow Up' :blush: and now 'Poison' only by Nicole.

 

18. BRUNO MARS Just The Way You Are - (32-36-43-50-59-68-73-85-95-x-18)

 

A peak of #18? :o This is another of my big hits of 2010. As mentioned above, Bruno Mars has been my artist of 2010. His songwriting skills and ear for a good melody have done him justice.

Now peak of #9. It's just growing on me, seeing this a lot on the Czech MTV and German music televisions :heehee:
