September 1, 201212 yr Ita alright, usually the season openers come off well. And please bring back Oswin, the best thing since sliced bread.
September 1, 201212 yr Well, that reignited my interest. Oswin was FANTASTIC (and super cute as well ). The way it turned out was great, the Daleks forgetting who the Doctor was throws away a ton of baggage from previous Dalek stories that is quite welcome and we do get to keep a few of the different coloured Daleks, which adds a slight layer of complexity. PROBABLY the best Dalek story in nuWho since, well... Dalek. EDIT: We are keeping Oswin? OMG YES. I had no idea, haven't been following anything.
September 1, 201212 yr Loved this episode, it was so epic! They handled the Rory/Amy relationship well and I'm curious to see how they will bring back Oswin (Great character BTW) and it was very good how they managed to stop her presense in the episode being leaked.
September 1, 201212 yr Well, she IS the new companion. Sort of. Oops completely forgot she is the new companion -_-
September 1, 201212 yr Author Brilliant episode! Not too complex (which is good, especially for a Moffat story) and the character development between Amy and Rory (despite sad) was great to see. Oswin was fantastic, I'm guessing she'd already met the Doctor by that point, which kind of makes her relationship similar to his and River Song's... so I hope it's not that!
September 1, 201212 yr Brilliant episode! Really looking forward to see how they bring back Oswin as the new companion! Maybe that episode was set in the future somehow and her events with the Doctor beforehand lead up to her getting exterminated by the Daleks who then make the Doctor forget all about her which leads us to what happened tonight? It could all play out very interestingly!
September 1, 201212 yr How does the wonderful Oswin get to be the companion? EXCELLENT episode! I'm not sure she's playing EXACTLY the same character, I saw a different name mentioned elsewhere I think. But this is Doctor Who, they can MAKE IT WORK.
September 1, 201212 yr I'm not sure she's playing EXACTLY the same character, I saw a different name mentioned elsewhere I think. But this is Doctor Who, they can MAKE IT WORK. I think her companion character is called Clara? But I could be wrong :kink:
September 1, 201212 yr I think her companion character is called Clara? But I could be wrong :kink: Yes, I believe it's Clara Oswin, so there'll be some connection.
September 1, 201212 yr Yes, I believe it's Clara Oswin, so there'll be some connection. Ah right! That makes sense then!
September 1, 201212 yr Great episode, and wonderfully handled as well! mysterious and gripping with some big reveals, and yet its all wrapped up so well in the end. Definitely made me more excited for this series. Aside, Oswin's red dress OH MY GOD
September 2, 201212 yr Enjoyed the episode overall, thought it started a little on the shaky side but it got into the swing of things again pretty quick. I liked the Oswin character and the twist at the end was great. Edit: Has the name "Clara" actually been confirmed? The first time I heard about it I thought it was just gossip? Really I think this all becomes a whole lot more interesting if there is no Clara. Edited September 2, 201212 yr by Sabrewulf
September 3, 201212 yr I cant believe Theo is the only person I've seen on the WHOLE INTERNET to pick up on the River/Oswin similarities. Absolutley stinks of Moff reusing plot lines yet again. That said, brilliant episode despite some MAJOR continuity errors throughout (how did the TARDIS end up on the Dalek ship for one?) and loved the ending. The intensive care scene was particularly epic for Who nerds.
September 3, 201212 yr Author What has been confirmed is that the Christmas episode (Jenna-Louise's introductory episode as a companion) is set in the Victorian period, so I'm interested to find out what period she's from herself!
September 8, 201212 yr Not the greatest episode, I found it more of a filler, but I hope they bring back Rory's father, just love the character. That's it Mitchell & Webb I knew I recognise their voices from somewhere.
September 8, 201212 yr Hrm, not sure what to think. The ending was slightly confusing, but I understood the rest. Who were Queen "Nef" and Riddell and why were they there anyway? The episode would've worked PERFECTLY well without them. Probably even better, actually.
